Packs a punch but somehow still lacking
This wand is without a doubt powerful, however it feels like the vibration is dispersed throughout the handle. Within seconds there’s a pins and needles feeling in my hand, and oh how I wish all that power was being sent straight to the head.
The device itself is sleek and fairly slim, the head is much smaller than other wands in my collection which is a bonus when used between bodies. However there is no flex in the head, which can make it a little uncomfortable when it’s met with force that it doesn’t ‘move with’.
The buttons are out of proportion to the handle, whilst big is easy to find, there’s no where to grip (whilst your hand is vibrating like crazy) without accidentally hitting a button.
The metal design makes it feel and look expensive, it’s a lovely gift, although the cardboard packaging lets it down as a luxury toy.
It’s not the quietest, but as wands go it could be a lot worse, do not hold it in a hand with a ring on though!
Overall this is a toy with lots of potential but sadly falls short in the design.

Disappointing
My friend had one of these and raved about it so I saved up for a long while to be able to get myself one only to be pretty disappointed with it.
My friends Doxy Die Cast 3R (we double checked and she does have the same model) came in a beautiful sleek metal storage/travel case and has several different pulse settings, mine had neither of these things.
Upon further investigation i discovered the cases had been stopped a while ago (took me too long to save up for this apparently) but the fact that such an expensive toy (£150!) did not even come with so much as a small fabric drawstring bag to store and protect it was very disappointing. However, this told me that the toy itself must be fantastic right? Wrong.
Although powerful, and the buttons on it being large and very easy to navigate and use, the range of power is VERY limited. The lowest setting is VERY powerful (too much for me even on its lowest setting) but when you scale up through to the highest setting with the plus button, there isn't much difference. You can just about tell there are about 5 "speeds" from the pitch of the motor changing but each of the increases are very slight and therefore the highest setting doesn't feel much different from the lowest.
This model does have ONE pulse setting but certainly not the several different ones my friends model does. This setting is the simple "pulse, stop, pulse, stop, pulse, stop" setting and again, has the same issue as above with the lowest and highest speed settings.
The toy itself looks very well built and is great from a user point of view with the easy to use shape and buttons, travel lock (great idea but still needs a case or pouch) and the battery seems to last (unsure on this last point as i haven't been able to test it for that long due to the speed/power issues mentioned above)
The only good thing i can say about it is the fact that due to such a powerful motor it is able to withstand being used whilst with a partner. Normally, when using a wand on me whilst my partner is inside me, due to us both pushing against the wand, smaller wand motors are not be able to cope with this pressure and slow down immensly, the Doxy however, does not. Sadly, due to the fact that it is too powerful for me even on its lowest setting, this still renders the Doxy useless for me.
All in all, pretty dissapointed that i now have a very expensive metal wand shaped paperweight in my drawer that will no doubt get scratched as it gets moved around amongst other toys until it finds its way to the void that is the bottom of the drawer never to be seen again.
Waste of money. Would not reccomend unless a constant setting at very high speed and a numb clit is what you need/want!

My best friend
First this is definitely a wow toy. The first thing that stands out is the casing making this toy great for traveling without fear of your bag suddenly vibrating. The Holy Grail of wands

This wand is great. The vibrations are strong, precise, just fantastic. The doxy die cast can feel a bit 'sloppy' in my opinion, but the 3R feels like it's a lot more controlled. If you prefer more targeted vibrations, but want them from a wand, this might be the toy for you.
I have had a number of issues with the cap separating from the metal lining, but honestly, I love this toy so much that I just replace it. Heads for the Palm Power wands fit OK on this wand as well and can work in a pinch. Unfortunately, official replacement heads only ship from doxy's UK store, so the shipping charges can add up. Lovehoney has been wonderful in replacing mine under warranty, though.
The device does seem to need to 5 volt USB charger, so if you run into charging issues, check your USB converter.

Okay so this bad boy does pack a punch it's very rumbly which I love , noise can be hit and miss as can get a bit loud , unit gets hot after prolonged use . The colour is lovley and the design is very lovley buttons are easy to use and navigate. The charge time is a bit longer than I would like with only an hour or so run time so wish it was better in that respect. The metal case it is stored in is very chic and allows me to keep it discretely stored along with its power cord to charge it up .

Disappointing - lacks lower settings
Over a year ago I purchased my Girlfriend the Mantric Rechargeable Wand. It quickly become her favorite and most reliable toy, so I thought I would shop for an 'upgrade'.
General consensus on the web was that Doxy produce the pinnacle of Magic Wands. I did consider a Mains-Powered Wand, but really wasn't keen on the idea of trailing a lead across the bed or killing the mood by pausing to plug something in.
When I saw the Doxy 3R on sale, I lept at the opportunity to purchase a Wand offering the power of a Plug-in with the convenience of a rechargeable.
When it arrived, first impressions were that the packaging was slique and stylish. The Wand comes with an Aluminium tube to store it in, which adds to the premium feel and is perfect for keeping it secure when travelling.
The Wand itself is very sterdy, the metal body is Limited Edition Purple as I purchased the Doxy X Lovehoney version (ONLY available at Lovehoney, isn't even available on Doxy's website). Overall size is half way between a normal rechargeable (like our Mantric) and a Mains-Powered plug-in. The wand has a decent amount of weight to it, personally I didn't find it too heavy.
When I first turned it on I knew immediately that it was MUCH more powerful than our Mantric. As stated previously, we don't own a plug-in, but i'd be fairly confident in saying that this delivers on its promise of matching them for power. It was so strong that I immediately tried to turn it down, only to discover that I was in fact already on the lowest setting!
And here begins the list of criticisms (please remember I am a male who purchased for his partner):
1: (The biggie) - this thing seriously needs a few lower settings. My partner immediately asked if I could turn it down and when I said that it was as low as it could go, lasted only a couple of minutes before saying it was 'too much'.
2: The shape of the main handle is perfectly straight. I find the Mantric to be easier to hold in place due to its slightly angled handle.
3: The vibrations resonate throughout the handle and aren't isolated to the head. It's annoying to hold.
4: The rigidity of the silicone head and the level of flex in the neck are both quite stiff. This makes it difficult to apply lighter pressures.
5: it isn't water-proof. At this cost i'd expect it to be.
In summary, as with a lot of products at the premium price point, I really don't think this is worth its RRP at all. Especially not when compared to Wands such as the Mantric which is less than half the price. Not all toys suit everyone and I think my partner prefers more subtle vibrations. If you're looking for something thats really strong and have found your rechargeable lacking, I would definately recommend this.
Given that I got it for such a bargain we'll keep it and persevere, but I really can't see it becoming our go-to toy and overall am left dissapointed given my expectations.

Disappointing
After doing quite a bit of researching and reading reviews of various wands I decided to go for the doxy 3R. However, I was disappointed when it came. The reviews said that it had lots of speed settings but it literally has four. (and only 2 vibration settings, continuous and intermittent). The lowest setting seems more like a mid setting and then there's only 4 higher speeds from there. I was looking for a wand with a nice low grumbly vibration, but this just isn't it.
The wand itself is very well made and very nice quality. The vibrations are powerful and penetrative, but like I said, it is let down by not having a low enough setting. My girlfriend can't stand having it anywhere near her genetails as it is just far too aggressive. A real shame. Now we are just left with an expensive and mediocre muscle massager.

True to Doxy form, this item is POWERFUL. There is no ‘low’ setting, as soon as you switch this item on, it’s full pelt vibrations and all hands on deck. I honestly thought when I first turned the item on that I had turned it up to max power, I can confirm, this was not the case and that was the lowest setting. I put the item on full speed and thought I was about to start an earthquake. This doxy comes in a beautiful metal storage tube with a screw top lid and base. The charging wire can be stored nicely in the bottom whilst the toy will fit in the top part. The Doxy itself is beautiful! A sturdy aluminium casing on the toy with a hard silicone head. Very easy to clean, simply unscrew the top of the silicone head and you are good to go. This item comes with a very simple travel lock, just hold the power button and - button for 4 seconds. If it flashes red, the travel lock is on, if it flashes green you are ready, steady, go! The buttons are quite large and can be easily pressed so be careful of your hand positioning! With power comes noise, whilst it may send your lady garden into another dimension, your neighbours will most likely know when your alone time is taking place or constantly think you’ve got the builders in drilling the walls. If noise is a concern for you, I probably wouldn’t recommend this item (as much as I love it) but if you are looking for an item that will shake your entire house, this is for you.

I am really split on this wand. On the one hand, it's glorious to hold, as strong as you could ask for and feels amazing on the skin.
On the other, I find it doesn't hold charge very well at all. I can charge for 6 hours (two more than the recommended 4) and it will be drained by the next day even if I don't use the wand at all. That's something I find disappointing, as it kills the ability to be spontaneous.

What a collaboration a great and quality designed product with the love honey touch.on opening this package you get a massive sense of the sheer quality and build that is.the aluminium tube case is classy and very discreet.the build is metal and gives a feel in the hand of a very well designed and quality product the head is of a nice size not so large wich makes it easier to accurately get to the small more hidden places.the large buttons are excellent and easy to feel your way through the levels with out looking so u can concentrate more on the intense orgasum it supply's in abundance its also vert quite for a wand I've had many and all at top levels are loud however this stays quite discreet whilst pumping the the vibrations out.the only downfall is it's price its price taps alot of people out and the difference between the cheaper wands are liberal in terms of price difference
Mixed feelings
I have both positive and negative feedback about this wand.
On the one hand, it's a flaming portable wand - after a year and half of owning it, it has been a definite favourite for me and my partner and it's often been the first toy to get packed when we go away. It's not as powerful as the mains powered wands, but it still packs a punch and it's a much better size to handle. Plus the lack of wires is fantastic, and it looks gorgeous too. It drives him crazy when I use it while I ride him.
For the price, though, I expected more. It comes in a fancy brushed alumunium carry case and looks like it is expensive at first. But, there are a number of things that let this toy down: 1) The threads on the box are too fine and easy to mess up if it is opened and closed frequently, so it ends up being annoying. 2) There could easily have been a way to charge the toy while it is discretly in it's box, but that can't be done at all. 3) The chrome effect of the toy tarnishes easily over time so it ends up looking much less attractive. 4) The power button is easily confused with the other controls in the heat of the moment and is too easy to knock off. 5) And this one is the kicker for me, that has made me decide to write this review. The glue that keeps the rubber cap on the wand came unstuck while it was in use so that the metal head underneath with all it's hard pinchy bits was revealed. I felt lucky it didn't do me any damage. I'm quite disspointed in the way this was attached, as a glue bond between metal and rubber is never going to be great. The 1 yr guarantee has finished, so now I'm left with attempting a fix as my only option. I have a feeling this problem will just repeat itself and that makes the wand feel pretty risky to use. Sadly, it might need retiring.
I love this Wand!
The vibrations are really powerful and I love that it's rechargeable. Really liked the premium travel case and the colour of the wand is great. It's a great wand for sore and tense muscles, but also for more intimate pleasure.
This will put a rumble in your jungle
This multi use toy will give nearly any other wand style (even corded) a run for it's money.
Usually when you are looking at a rechargeable toy there is the expectation that the power won't be as good as their counterparts that draw directly from the power socket. This is no different, but if you have never used a Doxy before it is hard to fathom the corded version producing even more power (and they do).
Offering deep intense rumble vibrations that will vibrate your whole pelvic bone you will definitely need turn this puppy way down when you start using it.
Being die cast means this has a heft making it feel sturdy that helps reduce the amount of vibration carrying through the handle.
Downside with the weight is if you do have trouble with your hands or arthritis I would not recommend.
The buttons are large and easy to press through that light up so definitely pro if your eyesight isn't 20/20.
I now have a second one that I use for sore muscles.
With everything compact in it's own metal cylinder it is perfect to take with if you get to muscle cramps.
For a rechargeable wand this is by far the best I have come across.
Doxy Rechargeable Massager
I already have three of the Di cast mains versions of the Doxy wand which are great.
We were looking for something to take to the clubs, where mains sockets are not always to hand.
This is a mini version of the mains wand, is quite powerful - not like a mains one though, comes in a fancy solid aluminium container and so far, seems to have enough run time to keep my partner happy
However - I personally feel it is at least £50 to expensive when compared to the mains version, ok if it was the same size with the larger head.
The other thing that lets Doxy's down in general, is that the on / off button is at the head end of the wand and not the tail end, therefore it is forever being turned off accidentally, usually when you least want it to !!.
Shame, as we really wanted to be a bit more positive in this review being fans of the Doxy wands in general

I adore this wand! The powerful vibrations in a rechargeable wand are amazing. Doxy are known for their powerful wands and this one did not disappoint. It is very easy to charge and the travel case feels so luxurious. The colour is lovely too!
It is not as quiet as say a bullet - however as it is a wand I wasn't expecting it to be.
Gets the job done quickly
If you’re looking for something that is going to get you climaxed in under five minutes, this is the toy for you. I thought it would make me squirt, but it didn’t. However, the vibrations are crazy strong. I don’t know if I’ll ever go to the higher settings. I like the silver metal tube it comes in. It just looks cool!
Disappointing for its price
This is my first wand vibrator. I bought it since a lot of people wrote that it made them cum really fast. Maybe I'm not using it right?
It still feels good. The metal looks and feels nice. The vibrations are strong.
I got the blue one which is 1.3x the price of the purple.
I've owned it for less than 3 days and have had to make multiple minor repairs. Some pieces are just glued on, like the metal band and the silicon head to the metal screw on attachment piece. Neither of these parts held together, so I had to glue them both back on, which has blemished the finish of the product, and is of course disappointing and frustrating that I had to fix it after owning it for such a short amount of time.
Also, if I were buying a different wand, I would have chosen the buttons to have a different order because I keep turning it off when I'm trying to turn it up, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.
That being said, the design is very lovely to hold and to look at, and it feels great as just a massager and the fixes have been very easy. So I'm not saying it's bad, and now that I have it, I'm reluctant to send it back.
All in all, if I had to do things again, I might have given this item a miss, since it cost literally more than all my other 7 items combined and doesn't deliver on my personal expectations regarding orgasms or quality.
Amazing, power & Incredible
So I love love love this wand, I have always been a fan of wands but this one is the BEST I have ever tried. The lowest setting is insanely powerful, and that's my kinda thing!

Fabulous when working
Bought direct from Doxy in November. As soon as delivered we put this on charge. This is still a very long and heavy object, although I have read the reviews if the wired version and I understand this a lighter version. This is the first wand we have had and I can't believe I hadn't bought one until now. It is beautifully made, beautiful looking and feels expensive and luxurious. When we tried it the first time my OH was blown away. The wand is very powerful and drove her completely over the edge instantly. She told me the rumble of the bigger wider surface area of the wand head did incredible things. I won't go into too much detail but it took her 5 minutes to recover the ability to walk and talk. So in effect possibly the best toy I've bought. It has the same effects every time. However, you'll notice from the title, not all perfect. After just a few uses and recharges the wand has now stopped working. It is about to wing its way back to Cornwall for repairs. Doxy are brilliant about this and I am pleased with the service, but for a £150 toy I did expect better reliability and quality. Overall, stunning item, amazing (and I really mean amazing) orgasms. However, it's gone back for repairs after just a few uses. A little disappointed to be honest. Only time will tell. We will keep using it when it returns because it really does the job and hits the spot.
Amazing
My wife bought this as its so much more convenient than the wired ones. The service and advice from Lovehoney is and always has been 100% accurate. Before posting negative reviews, it's always worth speaking to them. They solve all problems. Great product and excellent service from Lovehoney. We have tried numerous toys and this was recommended and proved to be excellent.
Disappointing
The Doxy 3R is a pretty powerful wand, and I expected the combination with a prostate massager will be incredible, however, the vibration was weak and underwhelming, and the ergonomics of trying to insert and hold this in, when attached to a heavy straight wand, was really uncomfortable. It's probably better with a partner but for solo play this was cumbersome and close to impossible. In any case, the toy proved rather ineffective anyway. Nice gymmic, but I'm going back to my dedicated toys.

As good as the mains-powered Doxy 3? Oh hell yeah
I love the original Doxy 3; it is by far my favourite wand and is probably the toy I reach for the most (seriously, it stays plugged in by my bed at all times). So when Doxy announced that they were doing a rechargeable version, I was definitely tempted. When I saw that it was in my favourite colour (blue) and it was sparkly too, I knew one would end up in my toy box sooner rather than later. The only thing holding me back was whether or not it could really match the mains powered version in terms of power. Although I rarely need to use the highest settings on my Doxy 3 and Doxy claim it is the same power, I still had a niggle in the back of my mind that it wouldn't be as good. However, if there is a power difference, I really cannot tell. The Doxy 3R is just as powerful as it claims to be and I am definitely not disappointed. Which one I reach for in the bedroom will purely depend on which is closest to hand. (Providing I've remembered to charge the 3R!) If you are trying to choose between the mains powered 3 and this one, the decision should be purely between what is more practical for you; plugging the toy in and dealing with the cord or remembering to recharge it but being cord free. Power wise, you won't regret your decision which ever you pick. Now to review it on its own merits: The 3R comes with its own storage tube in the form of a ling metal cylinder. The charging cable is stored in the base of the cylinder. The tube is definitely different and with only a "D" stamped on the top, it doesn't give away what is stored inside, although it is likely to look a little out of place in most bedrooms! The blue sparkle is absolutely stunning and does help make the wand look slightly less industrial than some of the other Doxys. The silicone head is nice and smooth and the large buttons are easy to see (including lighting up in use and when charging), feel and use. The charging port is at the bottom of the toy and very obvious. The smaller size makes this wand very easy to hold and use. It does have a little weight to it, but it isn't too heavy. The vibration does travel down the body a bit but generally I don't notice this too much when I'm using the toy. One thing that is important is that this wand is not waterproof. To clean it, you can unscrew the head (which is then waterproof) and wash that separately; just make sure you leave it to thoroughly air dry before reattaching, and you can wipe the body down with a damp cloth or toy wipe. The power from the wand is absolutely incredible. I am a power queen and it is more than enough for me. I do think it is at a little bit of a high frequency than the Original and Die Cast Doxys (and many other wands) but it certainly isn't enough to call the toy "buzzy". The slightly higher frequency and the smaller head combined with the power really works for me. Most good quality wands will get me there, but this gets me there harder and faster. If you like high powered toys but find most wands don't quite deliver for you in the way they seem to for most people, this wand is definitely worth considering. As well as the solid vibration there is a pattern setting which you turn on by pressing and holding the power button. The pattern is best described as a two beat pulse which you can alter the speed of. I am not normally a fan of any patterns, but actually the pulse setting at (or near) top speed is actually quite enjoyable. Slowing it right down is damn right evil though! It is worth noting that if you were hoping that this wand would be quieter than its mains powered counterparts, you will be disappointed. This wand is definitely on par with mains powered wands for noise. One thing I do feel the need to mention is that Doxy have clearly thought about the implications of making their wand rechargeable. The 3R has a travel lock (something mains powered wands clearly don't need) and the power button lights up red when it is charging and green once is has finished. Although these are only small things, it does really show they have put a lot of thought and care into the toy, which is always nice. Admittedly, it does lack some of the bells and whistles that other toys at this kind of price point often offer, but it really doesn't need them in my opinion. It is all about pure power in a manageable and usable toy. In conclusion, I adore this wand. It has a huge amount of power, delivered in a much smaller package than most wands and it is rechargeable. I can take this toy with me without having to worry about whether there will be a plug socket in a convenient place and without having to compromise on power. It is definitely my favourite rechargeable wand that I have ever used and shares the top spot of favourite wand with the mains powered Doxy 3, as I really cannot choose between them.
Powerful but not made to last
I was really enjoying it while it lasted! Very powerful and nice design. Unfortunately it broke after only 2 months (used max once a week). It kept losing power at very irritating moments even after being on charge for a long time. Eventually it just stopped recharging. Love Honey gave me an immediate full refund and were very helpful though.
