To minimise damaging the mold when you withdraw once it's set, I got into the shower and sprayed my legs with cold water. That way I shrunk out of the mould to leave it in optimal readiness.
Do not exceed the eight hour setting time before the silicone step, otherwise the mould starts to dry out.
If you are large in terms of length, girth, or if your -ahem- nurse is lucky and you are in both areas, you will need to buy extra silicone as there isn't quite enough in the kit to get full length. Not a big issue though.
This came (pun intended) as a big surprise to me, as I have never measured myself up against other chaps. . . but it turns out I am indeed 'in the big club'. . . or so my -ahem- nurse assured me. Which added to the fun. . . discovering this.
If you follow the instructions assiduously, you'll get great results.
The challenge is that you have to be at maximum size for both the cylinder measuring step, and then immediately when the moulding solution is ready.

Don't bother purchasing unless you have *multiple* people to assist you in preparing it, and maintaining an erection.
You need to get water to a specific temperature, stir the mould together, pour into a cut-down plastic tube (due to having to cut it down yourself, you're essentially sticking your crotch into sharpened plastic unless you have professional tools to trim it down with), and then you have two minutes, maximum to stick an erect penis into the tube before it sets. Once it sets, that's it, and your 40 quid is down the drain.
And you have to do all of this while erect.
To the designers credit, the product itself is easily explained. The instructions are clear, concise, while still being effective. But the timings on the actual product are very tight, and it's difficult to do all of them while fully erect, and maintaining the erection, which you very much have to do, otherwise there's no point to the end product. But they give no indication that outside help is required, both in terms of manpower and other products to maintain arousal, and the end result was 40 pounds that I cannot get back.
The end product might be amazing, I don't know. And I won't get to, because the product itself is way too fiddly to be reasonably achieved with just the provided kit.

Brought this for abit of fun for me and the other half while we're away. We tried one years ago but failed to get him in the mould before it had hardened.

So my husband and I attempted this a few years ago and completely failed… didn’t help with the fact we were on holidays and had limited kitchen accessories and also the fact we were both pretty drunk lol!

Tips!
Do it in the shower! My husband was in the shower getting himself up whilst I was waiting outside for his instructions to start mixing. You need to be quick and mix as quickly as possible to smooth it out as much as you can, I also used the wooden spoon that came with it, the spatula just didn’t mixed it properly and also use a bowel with a pourer or a large jug! This made it easier to pour into the tube! Once the 45 sec timer went off I ran in gave him the tube with the moulding mixed and let him be until it was ready to come off.
After waiting around 8 hours for the mould to set we finally got to put the silicone in.. we did find the glow in the dark powder very hard to mix through which unfortunately resulting in little clumps in the finish result because of this I wouldn’t purchase a glow in the dark again because I feel like that let us down just a bit and also the vibrated really needs to be redesigned especially if you’re middle man bends slightly, but in all it turned out and I can not wait to use it!!

Ok, to start with let me tell you the bad news. Our first effort at cloning was a failure. Ended up with a stumpy, slightly disfigured version of my member. A few days later came the time to start cloning, after watching a few how to clone your Willy videos (worth watching for the comedy value alone), we set about preparing the cloning process. Now some reviews talk about the difficulty in keeping an erection during the cloning. I have to say if you are doing this alone I could understand how this might be difficult. I didn’t have this problem as during the whole time of cloning my partner was pleasuring herself a few feet away from me with the aforementioned Doc Johnson Dildo. Trust me, this kept me as hard as I could be, or so I thought. After measuring myself against the cloning tube and cutting it to size (sharp scissors are a must, but please be very, very careful!) I set about getting the water ready for mixing (OMG it is very hard to get water to stay at exactly 90 degrees), the thermometer isn’t the greatest but just about gets the job done, possibly will invest in a better one for next time. Set the timer and got to mixing. Poured the mould mixture into the tube and hit start on my timer. This is where I hit a snag. While I am between 6 - 6 1/2 inches long (not a problem for the tube, could easily fit someone around 10 inches I think), I am also 6 inches in girth. This made fitting my penis into the tube a little tricky with the moulding mixture in there. Tried to readjust but this isn’t the easiest manoeuvre. Not at all helped by my partner at that exact moment really having the best time with her new dildo, letting out a very loud moan. Instantly causing my cock to get even harder. This we left for 24 hrs also. The end result was, as I mentioned before a weird looking shorter version of me as without the vibrator the silicone doesn’t rise to the top of the tube. Now for the upside of this. We used the silicone and the glow in the dark powder, now I wasn’t quite expecting just how glow in the dark it would be. It is amazing, funny and a little disturbing to see your penis light up the room at night.
Although this effort didn’t turn out how we wanted we both believe with a little tweak here and there this could be an amazingly fun toy for couples which is why we will be buying another one soon, will let you know how that turns out. Just hope we don’t end up with a shelf full of weird and wonderful me’s acting as erotic night lights before we get it right!

This is really the kind of thing you buy as a gag gift, rather than being serious about it. It's kind of awkward to set up, and the whole situation can make it hard to keep an erection while it sets. When the silicone is in the mould it's hard to get a nice and tidy base on the dildo.
It was fun and amusing to give a go but didn't produce the best results. I'd recommend it for a bit of fun but don't get your hopes too high.

unless your able to keep it hard while doing an arts and crafts class, don't bother, first attempt went wrong, followed the instructions to the second, and temperature , and the mix went off in the mixing bowl before it could be poured into the mix, brought a replacement packet off plaster and tried again, this time making a huge mess as the plaster leaked out off the mould. ended up putting it in the bin, would have rather spent the money on something else.

Interesting and funny
Me and my girlfriend made a date night out of making this. It's really fun but make sure you follow the directions perfectly because the mold sets very quickly. If you think you are going to mess up then I would order another bag of the molding powder. The toy comes out very detailed and make sure you don't make the mold over carpet or the mold will get stuck to the carpet and be very hard to take off. The hardest part of making the mold is staying erect while it's being made but just have your partner fix that for you. Me and my husband were looking for a new toy and a fun way to spice up our Friday night! This did not disappoint. The instructions were very clear and straight forward. I did read a review that gave some helpful tips too in regards to the mixing times. It was quick to do and that meant it wasn’t too much of a challenge to keep ‘the shape’ let’s say? Waste of money
After waiting for ages to get the water at the optimum temperature, getting the mix right (about 35 seconds), setting up the tube before-hand, getting hard and using a cockring (difficult to maintain while taking temperatures and mixing mixtures) The moulding mixture went off pretty much instantly. 5 seconds and it was a brick, couldn't insert anything into it, let alone my penis.Do not bother. You're wasting your money! Zero stars if at all possible.
Dong duplication FTW
I decided to try out the famed Clone-A-Willy for myself mainly to see how good it was and also duplicate a toy that was slimy and stinking up my bedroom (pvc and tpe isn't body safe people. If it's greasy to the touch and stinks don't use it!). My desk mascot Googly was the subject of the cloning so after a thorough wash and degrease condomed it too, I set to cloning it. After unpacking the items and reading the instructions I set to work. Cut the tube to desired length and then the alginate. The alginate is very temperamental to work with as it has to work quickly . Long story short, I failed dismally. Once it cools,it sets too quickly! Luckily I had some slow set alginate from my modelling set and used that instead. Mixture done, poured in the tube and Googly was inserted in the alginate. Step one check! Step two I removed Googly with a gentle satisfying wiggle, twist and pop. Next to pour the tubs of silicone into a tub and add the glow in the dark powder, then mix slowly to try and not add more bubbles and make sure it was uniform before checking the mould for water before pouring. Waiting 24 hours was a cinch and once done Googly 2.0 was born. I left it on the window ledge to charge the glow potential and when night fell it lit up the room! I can safely traverse from my room to the toilet and back without making my eyes shrivel by switching the lights on. It glows all night long too!
Oh the fun
So i did not have high hopes here, i bought this as a fun lockdown activity for my partner and I thinking it would be enjoyable even if the finished product wasn't great. My goodness was I surprised when the end result was pulled out.. We were amazed by the detail and how professional it looked. You actually wouldn't think it was a DIY job. Wife's favourite new toy
We bought one of these a few years ago to try something new. The directions are very straightforward and simple. It can be a bit messy so definitely make it somewhere that's easy to clean up or put down towels. After we got it made the next day after it had set up my wife was waiting and ready for it. We got it out and cleaned up. It slipped right in and she said it was just like the real thing but better because it vibrates. If you work out of town your partner will never be lonely and be thinking of you all the time.

Lots of fun making a clone
This was an interesting challenge. Bought this as I have small fiber neuropathy that seems to be spreading so I wanted a clone for my wife. It’s produces a pretty damn good clone of the fella down under. Instructions are fairly straight forward. 32 degrees Celsius for the moulding liquid is actually pretty cold. Wasn’t expecting the cold sensation on my tackle to be so confronting. So I achieved a clone that was about 75% of my normal size. Still put a massive smile on the wife’s face though. This is a fun and easy to make product and I would recommend to all.
Very difficult without a partner
My girlfriend and I are in a long distance relationship and due to covid19 we can't see each other. We thought this could be a fun thing to do. The problem is, it's very difficult without a partner. You have to manage the water temperature, mixing, and insert your erect penis within 2 mins or it sets. I had problems with this: after the recommended 45 secs of mixing, all the mixture didn't fill up the tube, it then set after a minute. This wasn't enough time for me to be 'ready', as concentrating on temp, timing and mixing caused me to become soft. Waste of a product...
Pretty poor for a bigger chap
bought this for hubby - he’s quite thick (about 6.5 inch round) and about 7.5 inches long... and it was a bit disappointing. we followed instructions and found these issues ... 1) the tube isnt really wide enough. 2) there isnt enough silicone solution to fill up the tube after he pulled out. so, we let it set and managed to pull out about 5 - 5.5 inch of a new dildo - not tried it yet as it’s a little’deformed’ because of the tube not being wide enough. so i suspect that realistically the insertable length would be 4” - which isnt going to do much for me tbh - i like a nice length. be warned - if your chap is any bigger than 5.5” ish then this isnt going to do a job. will probably let him use it when he goes down on me later - but suspect i’ll be tapping him on the head and asking for a proper dildo after a few minutes.
Oh, Clone-A-Willy
Where do I begin?! First and foremost, this kit is worth buying for the comedy factor alone! The searching for equipment, measuring, timings, pure panic, trying to keep a hard on, witnessing him plunging himself into gloop, the mess... it’s hilarious! HOWEVER, I want a model of him ..... and I still don’t have one!! We’ve had two attempts so far: First the consistency was wrong so it wasn’t happening (I don’t think the thermometer is accurate) but we also struggled to position it. Overall, a great product. Myself and my partner had fun together making this up, and we’ve had plenty of fun since as well! The only issue I encountered was trying to keep my penis straight in the tube, but with some jiggling that was managed ok. The product still retains its glow in the dark qualities, even after almost 6 months of use, so I imagine that will be with us for a long time!
It's Fun
Make sure you buy the refill pack because it's very easy to go wrong, even with the instructions! It's not that it goes wrong, more that you may not be happy with your first result and will want to try again! What you do get is a fun clone of your partners willy. What it says on the tin (tube), and it glows! Not the most intense vibrator, so if you want more bang for your clone, buy a separate more powerful vibrator to insert into your clone!

Funny but a disaster
The instructions used online are completely different to the instructions in the packet! After the moulding process it’s pretty easy but it’s not as “sexy & fun” as everyone makes out! We had to buy a couple of kits to actually get the finished product! So a lot of money was spent!

We’ve been on the fence about buying this for months as some reviews aren’t all that great and I’ve personally been told from friends they’ve even found it difficult to make but regardless we gave it a shot to find out for ourselves! If you’re going to buy it, here’s some tips - Do it over the bath/on wipeable floor. We ended up ruining our carpet, oops! Make sure you read where it says to put Vaseline on his pubes if he has any because it was a pain trying to pull the mould off all the mangled pubes And lastly, when pouring in the silicone remember to leave at least an inch because I forgot, thought it would be fine and ended up with silicone exploding all over.. we managed to cut it off in the end though. It was a 2 day process making this and honestly with the way it’s come out I’m not even bothered! Feel like any other dildo we have but it’s my partners penis, amazing! I’d recommend it to try to anyone who’s on the fence about it!

Okay so I thought I'd buy this as a spice up your life surprise for the other half! All planned to do it together one night for a bit of fun! What a disaster! A fun one may I admit!! Fun in more ways then one
My girlfriend is super into crafts, one night she invited me over saying that she needed some help. I came over only to be blindfolded by her and heard her say: "I just wanted to borrow you for a bit" You would probably know what happened next. If at first you don’t succeed...
We loved the idea of this. What could be more fun than immortalising myself is glorious glow in the dark blue vibrating rubber? I have to admit the reality is slightly more tricky than it sounds, but eventually I managed to create a pretty decent likeness of my “old fellow”. As I have come to expect from Lovehoney, the Clone-a-Willy kit arrived in the usual plan brown parcel, a day or so after I ordered it; my wife having seen an advert for them recently and suggesting that I make one for her. It comes in a clear plastic tube, which is used to make the mould, together with some instructions, the moulding powder, two pots of glupy liquid, some glow in the dark powder and a mini vibrator to set into your creative masterpiece. It also includes a small thermometer and a large lollipop stick for stirring. You will need a medium size kitchen mixing bowl, jug or similar and also a disposable cup or large empty jam jar to mix the various ingredients in. The instructions are pretty clear. The first thing you have to do is cut down the plastic tube so that it is about an inch longer than your willy when fully erect. As the tube is clearly made to accommodate all sizes, including the extra large, I found myself cutting off a depressing amount from the top of the tube in order to get it to my own more modest size. The next stage is to create the mould. The moulding powder works a bit like plaster of paris, but cures much quicker into a more rubbery consistency. Creating the mould is definitely the tricky bit and you may wish to get some help from a willing accomplice at this stage (I did not)! You have to mix the powder with warm water (at a specific temperature, using the thermometer and the lollipop stick), pour it into the plastic tube and then quickly stick your old chap into it for about a minute and a half until it has set and all this while maintaining an erection. Like most men, I find it a struggle to concentrate on anything else while I am “in the mood”, its probably something to do with there not being enough blood in the body to power both brain and penis at the same time... Mixing ingredients over the bathroom sink under pressure of time is not the greatest turn on for me, so the first time I tried, I didn’t get everything quite coordinated in time and the moulding powder had set by the time I tried to put my now reinvigorated penis into it. Cue getting back onto the internet and buying a replacement packet of moulding powder (also conveniently available from Lovehoney) for a second go a couple of days later. My second attempt was successful (I am clearly getting better at multitasking!) I managed to mix the ingredients and get myself into the mould in time all while standing to attention (a pretty impressive feat, even if I say so myself!) Once inside the mould, you need to ensure that you are not touching the tube on the inside and that there is enough of the moulding liquid to completely fill the tube with you inside it. Also, do not be tempted to thrust as this will ruin the shape of the mould you are trying to make. After a couple of minutes, the mould set and I started to remove myself from it. However, I had not taken into account that my pubic hair would get set into the mould. A little bit of trimming with the nail scissors set me free, but my advice would be to do a little landscaping beforehand to prevent this issue. You then have to leave the mould to fully cure for about 24 hours, after which you pour out any residual water. I dried the inside as best I could with some loo roll and also removed the few flakey bits that had fallen in from the edge of the mould. The next stage is to mix the glupy ingredients, together with the glow in the dark powder in a jam jar or disposable cup. I don’t recommend using a kitchen mixing bowl for this bit as I think the rubber would stick to it and I’m not sure you would be able to clean it. Once fully mixed, you pour the liquid into the mould you made earlier and stick the vibrator (stuck through its piece of cardboard to stop it from being submerged). It takes about 24 hours to set, at which point you can pull it out and hey presto you have a rubbery replica of your favourite part, complete with all realistic details. Certainly mine is recognisably mine, having all the right veins in the same places as the real thing. While the texture is quite pleasing to the touch, the colour is not really like the picture which looks to be shiny and slightly translucent. Mine is the same shade of blue, but is more of a milky blue and not shiny. I am also not convinced that it actually glows in the dark. Maybe if you leave it in the light for a while it might glow a bit, but I’m not sure. The vibrator is powered by a single AA battery and so is not massively powerful, although what power it has is transmitted quite well through the shaft.
It was a fun experience
Overall, the girlfriend and I had fun with the whole process. Even though the final result that came out of the mold was a bit... off, I'd say we had a good time with the kit. I'm pretty sure we'd do a better job if we tried again :). With that said, I'd recommend any newcomers to read a bit and watch the instructions videos carefully before going any further. Also, I'd recommend buying an extra pack of molding powder and to get some help for creating your new clone.

My other half bought this as he wanted to give it a try, mainly for a laugh. Quite a messy process to make. I’d recommend buying a plastic sheet to protect the floor, just to be on the safe side. The instructions are easy to follow, and the product is ready in no time. The results were very realistic, however the vibrator that comes with it lacks any sort of vibration at all. Amazingly realistic
This is our second iteration of clone a willy (we got the purple one as well) and overall a very fun experience. I read the written instructions carefully,planned it all out carefully and on a day where we were free and frisky we tried the cloning process. Following the instructions and timings which are reasonable to follow are difficult to do correctly. The mould mixture hardened too fast with a 45 second mix which therefore meant trying to force my erection in was hard, and the desired shape wasn't..... accurate. The finished version had lots of bobbles on and wasn't right at all. Mega kudos to lovehoney as they sent me a replacement after I realised their instructional video is different than the written instructions. They suggest a 30 seconds mould mix before pouring and putting your member in to clone. Second time was a charm, the finished version is scarily (it glows in the dark for Halloween!) realistic down to veins, texture and everything! The wife loves the idea that it's 'mine' even though we have other fun vibratory, this is a new favourite. The vibe function does the job but isn't too powerful because it lives inside thick silicone. Even though we now have another fun toy, it was really good to play together and to maintain arousal for about 45 minutes - a big tease for both of us, leading to much more shenanigans!

Stressful, but fun
This is not for anyone who can't handle a bit of pressure! I bought this kit to surprise my wife. We've already got a collection of various shapes and sizes, so thought I'd give it a try. It all comes in a tube, with all the information on the sleeve. It's actually a really easy process (in theory!) I watched the LoveHoney video first, read the instructions, then gave it a go! So I was "ready", got the powder, mixed it with water, gave it a good stir. . . But was no longer erect (funnily enough, it's not the most arousing process by yourself) so tried to get myself going again. I then went to put myself into the tube with the mixture. . . It was like trying to stab someone with a balloon!! The mixture had set VERY quickly. So, not to be someone that likes to be defeated, I bought the Refill mixture. This time, I told my wife (after telling her the story of my initial failure, she cried with laughter and was more than willing to assist me). So, this time, she gave me oral while I prepared the mixture (It was a massive turn on for us both). I poured the gloop into the tube, followed by my penis. . . But I was touching the sides, meaning there was only a thin layer of mixute! I let it set fully for about 10 hours, but I could already tell that it was another failure. From where it was thin, it had broken away from the sides of the tube. The instructions are easy to understand and you don't need alot of time. However I would recommend pre planning. I mixed the mold mixture and quickly ran to the bathroom because I thought sticking my dick into a tube in the kitchen was inappropriate. Once in the bathroom it was a race against time to get hard and violate the mixture, once I was in, it overflowed. Not a problem but it's awkward to hold a tube overflowing with hardening goo and get the perfect mold. I missed the top part which kind of sucks (no pun intended). This was meant to.be a surprise for my partner, but living in the same house makes it a little challenging. After I had violated the mold and it had solidified, I put it in the cupboard to hide it. I waited about 12 hours so it could cure, a bit of water but that's not a problem. I mixed the silicone and powder, and poured it into the mold. I completely forgot about the vibrator, so it was hastily put into the mixture. 24 hours later, my failure evident in the form of a vibrating glow in the dark failure penis. Suprisingly fun way to help us cope with cancer surgery
I highly suggest making this as a couple with some serious stimulation for best results. It's not entirely a sexy job but you CAN make it fun. Do make sure you put down some old towels under where you intend to stand, the moulding gel does not wash out and we ruined good towels whilst moulding and good sheets after we carried on playing after the mould was finished. OH did touch the side of the tube with the head of his chap and when we took it out it had left a void we were worried had ruined it, but once moulded the little flat area at the tip wasn't noticeable. Making arts and crafts fun
I bought this a few years ago for a but if fun. It was also a way to introduce the wife to vibrators as she found the whole toy thing intimidating at the time (luckily not anymore!). Read instructions before making

Loads of fun during and after
We bought this as a bit of fun. It certainly was. We had a laugh doing it the two times we attempted! Disappointing
I know that most reviews of this are totally dependant on how the customers use the product. I have to say I followed the instructions to the letter and even read all over the internet on tips to make sure it came out just perfect. I wanted this to be a great dildo for my partner to use on herself or our "bed buddy!;)" however it all went downhill after the get go. I mixed the powder quickly, managed to hold an erection until the mix had set, and a day later when we looked, it was utterly awful! it had holes all over it and although it got some good detail on one side the other side was ruined. I am sure that these can be perfect but despite my best efforts it came out awfully and it is still a decent amount of money to waste on repeated attempts. I might consider paying to have it done professionally one day!
Definitely worth the weirdness

I Bought this as sort of a joke for the OH as I work away alot so I thought that if I was going buy her a toy, why not have it be a clone of me, or better yet a glow in the dark. Slightly disappointed, but at least it glows
Me and my OH bought this in 2012 and thought it was about time we reviewed it. I wanted something that would be a replica of my boyfriend as a first vibrator/dildo toy. Making the vibrator In our first attempt to create the vibrator we found it far to quick for us to make the mixture in time so had to wait to be able to purchase more mix. The mixture wasn't perfect which was down to our own fault again but we decided to just use this mould. Great fun to do. Timing is really crucial so partner needs to be hands on. It is a bit messy but in a nice way, we laughed quite a bit making it. Great concept, execution is harder though
We brought this product as a naughty, fun adventure together but it turned out a disaster. The instructions are clear and the kit comprehensive, but the process itself was tricky! On one stage in particular in the instructions, you have to cut the products tube down to length in order to make your mould, we found that cutting it, as carefully as possible, left us with sharp edges! Not comfortable when you consider where you are putting this. For some reason our mould didn't set either so im affraid on this occasion the kit was useless. I do have faith in the product and will be re-buying it in the future and trying again. One year on and the vibrator is still being put to good use though! The other advise i would give, is that this may be one for the males to do alone as its not great to try and do 'in the heat of the moment' as attention tends to stray so be warned!

Fun and novel but don't expect a work of art
As a fan of arts & crafts, sex toys and things that glow in the dark, I was very excited to try this product out! I have some previous experience of life casting (Exhibit A: a plaster cast of my husband's entire head) so I knew pretty much what to expect, and I do feel it helped us get a decent result first time around - I see some reviewers messed up the first time and had to buy more moulding powder. To make the mould, you have to mix the powder up, fill the tube, and pop your cock into it within a very short space of time - the time pressure can be a bit of a passion killer so don't be afraid to try a cock ring. We didn't, but probably would if we did it again. I was a little disappointed with the moulding powder. The mould never really dried out properly and the level of detail was nowhere near as good as I've had from previous life casts. I'm tempted to buy some more liquid skin and have another go using a better quality moulding powder. When you put the vibrator into the cast, it's hard to tell if you've got it central, especially if your cast has a kink to it (which it seems can happen even if your cock doesn't kink in real life!) This product is very very difficult to use because the timescale allowed (2 mins) for mixing the initial product just isn't a realistic timescale. If that goes wrong then its the end of the game and you've blown 30 pound. If you want to risk it make sure you do it with someone else.
