I think this is likely one of the best "bang for your buck" toys. It is pretty powerful for being as small as it is (sometimes it is a bit too powerful on the low settings even depending on the situation). However, with it being powerful, it makes it useful for all genders as well.
It is versatile as it can be shallowly inserted though I would suggest keeping it mainly external. As it is waterproof, it is easy to clean and can be used in the shower (which turns out is very fun).
Definitely a good toy to start but offers lots to everyone.

The actual vibrator itself was great, but i managed to kill two of them within months of getting them. The first one I understand, because I couldn't figure out how to recharge it and tried twisting off the bottom, which must have messed something up internally, and it stopped working, even when seemingly fully charged, about a month later. Thankfully I was sent a replacement which I've been happily using for the past few months, but for some reason it decided to up and quit on me as well!! It's probably something I did, as I've been using it quite frequently without letting it fully charge, but still a bit disappointing. I’m surprised I haven’t seen more reviews about this. This vibrator is great- lots of fun functions, does the job well. But it’s VERY difficult to turn on, especially with a disability. Like, I need two hands to push the botton strong enough. If you have issues with your hands such as arthritis, I would strongly advise you find a different toy from romp above almost hurt muster trying to turn this one on and off

The charger doesn't connect well
The toy is great except for the fact you need a miracle to charge it. The connection between toy and charging cord is barely there. You'll do everything in your power to get it to charge and it'll still be a miracle if it actually does. I literally sit with the toy and charger in my hands as it charges because that's the only way to get the cord to work. It was truly a HORRENDOUS design.

This was my first toy and it was amazing. It does die super quickly though and takes a while to become fully charged. Another issue is that one day it died and no matter how long I leave it in the charger, it just won't turn on. But other than that it's a pretty good toy.

I've owned mine for about 12 months and haven't experienced any issues. It's rechargeable, silicone, easy to clean and relatively quiet compared to some of my other vibes. I generally don't use any of the pattern settings.

The shipping was very quick and 100% discreet as promised, and it came with a hilarious set of stickers. The directions were simple and easy to understand (and in lots of languages), and it came with some charge to it so you check out all the settings immediately.
The first of the 6 vibration settings is a low rumble, great for a long, slow burn. The highest of the vibration settings is way stronger than I was expecting for such a compact toy! It's definitely strong enough that, with the lack of a proper "handle," it can make your hand feel a little numb and tingly if you hold it for long enough. Even on the highest setting, it's still incredibly quiet! It's not completely silent, but definitely can't be heard through walls which is a major bonus.
The 4 pattern settings are fun as well! The first one is like a consistent alarm style buzz, the last one (I believe it's the last one, could be the second or third...) is a tapering buzz, where it starts off strong then almost completely stops before picking back up. I can't quite describe what the other two patterns are, but they're a good time too! Switching between settings is very simple, all that's needed is a press of the power button at the bottom yellow section of the toy. Although there is no handle, there's virtually no risk of accidentally switching settings because it has to be a rather intentional push. Turning the unit of requires holding the power button for about 3 seconds, so turning it off by accident isn't really a concern either.
As for the actual physical aspects and design of the toy, I personally love the colors, and the diamond pattern is quite pretty! I really enjoy the ridges, and it does make up a bit for the fact that there's not a bunch of bend-ability here. It's not completely stiff like a hard plastic toy, but doesn't have the flexibility of a fully silicone toy either, so if you're using it internally you may have to experiment with different angles and positions to get it to hit where you want it to. The tapered tip and the fact that it's not intimidatingly thick or long makes it perfect for beginners, and it's compact enough to use between partners without a hassle.
I love the USB charging aspect of this toy, it makes it so portable (and waterproof!), but my only complaint is that I wish it held a longer charge! It keeps charge for give or take an hour (it may vary sightly depending on which setting(s) are being used), but takes 3 hours to reach a full charge again. You can use it before it's fully charged again though, no need to wait the whole 180 minutes if you can't/don't want to. I did notice that all of the settings seemed stronger after I gave it a full charge versus when I took it out of the box and immediately turned it on to check them all out.
Overall this toy gives you a lot of bang for your buck, and would be a great introduction to toys or basic staple to start/add on to a collection!
Surprising power in a cute little package!
My wife and I were sent the ROMP Beat Rechargeable Textured Classic Vibrator to try out in exchange for our honest review of this toy.
First off, Lovehoney shipping was discreet as always arriving in an unmarked box with an unassuming return address.
Within the shipping box was the packaged toy. ROMP's packing is bright and fun, definitely going for a flirty sort of energy. Included in the box is a USB charging cable, instruction pamphlet in multiple languages, a customer feedback card, and a sheet of humorous phallic stickers (cactus with each lobe is a penis, winged phalli, "good vibes only"). The vibrator's box was sealed with a safety sticker.
First impression of the toy is how pleasant the silicone material is. Out of the box it was soft and pleasant to touch with no odor at all, just what you'd expect from a toy twice the price. The yellow portion at the bottom with the power button underneath appears to also be silicone and is soft to touch as well, despite looking like it might be hard plastic in the photos (it's not). The yellow is not exactly to my taste, but the magenta/fuchsia is a lovely color, and all the silicone is just luxurious to touch.
I powered it up and was impressed with the low rumble it gave straight out of the box. It's relatively quiet - not silent, but not obnoxious, especially with consideration to how powerful it actually is. It's a one button design, and pressing it repeatedly cycles through the 6 increasing intensities and then 4 patterns (two ramp patterns, and two intermittent or stutter patterns - I honestly couldn't tell a difference between the two ramp modes, but the stutter modes were different patterns). Right off the bat I loved that there were more than 3 speeds before going to patterns, one of my pet peeves in toys these days - I'd be happy with just 10 speeds and no patterns, but the ramp modes go almost to "off" before ramping back up again, so that's new and different). I plugged the toy in to get a full charge and set it aside to show the wife later that night.
We pulled the ROMP Beat out to try that night and get my wife's opinion from a vulva-owner's perspective. Powering it on, I was impressed again that the lowest setting was even more powerful with the full charge. The first 4 speeds are definitely a deep and more rumbly sort of vibration, and do move into more buzzy territory for 5 and 6. There are a couple spots along the way that you might not notice the change in speed if you're not paying close attention. She commented that it was pretty intense even for holding, due to its small design - when it rumbles, the whole thing rumbles - there's no portion of handle for the vibration to diffuse to. Once she put it to use, it was less of a concern with her body's resistance in play, but it was still noticeable.
While the diamond-patterned texture over the surface is a lovely aesthetic touch, she found the larger rounded ribs along the shaft to be very pleasant in motion for clitoral stimulation. Regarding internal play it's not very long, and with the power button on the end there's not a lot to hold onto for much depth of penetration without risk of unwanted cycling through the settings (though you have to give a pretty intentional push to change it). This vibe may be a great choice for someone's first exploration into penetrative toys due to its very approachable size, but if you're used to deep, wide, or active penetration this is not where the ROMP Beat shines.
This vibe is small enough to use during penetrative sex with a partner as well. We found it fit between us just fine for easy use, and the strong vibrations were an added bonus for me, the penis-owning partner.
Only complaints were as noted: numbed hand if you're not ready for that grip, and the patterns aren't our cup of tea. May not fill much of a void (no pun intended) if you have a large toy collection already.
All in all, very impressed with this little friend from ROMP, delivering well above its paygrade.
