Intro to pegging - Why did I wait so long!
After forever of looking at pegging kits, I decided it was now or never and now I wish I didn't wait so long.
I was super keen when this arrived but knew that it was going to take some time to consider the OH to give it a go, so some little hints and even a show of it to start to build her interest.

Me and my partner got this as a starter kit to see if we'd enjoy swapping places, and it definitely did not disappoint.
Materials are great quality as is normal with Lovehoney toys, with every part of this kit feeling like it would stand up to whatever you put it through.
It was a little fiddly to get the harness setup first time, but you soon get the hang of it, and once in place it's very easy for the top to adjust for a comfy but tight fit.
For the bottom, unless you're particularly tight, this should be very easy to take; whoever is topping has nothing to worry about and can pretty much go as hard as desired.
Our personal experience was very positive with both of us enjoying it, so within a few uses we decided to upgrade to the advanced kit. That said we still use this beginner kit sometimes if we need or want to be a little more gentle.

This kit is a great and easy to use strap on set. My OH and I used it to get into pegging and we haven't looked back. The choice of O rings has meant we haven't had to purchase a different strap on to change things up a bit and use different sized dildos. Okay, well, that was unexpected

Great quality product
This is a great product for a beginner to get used to. Perfect size if your tight. We got this for my wife to use on me. I’m a transman on Testosterone treatment which makes you proper horny. Great For Beginners to Anal Play

Good overall
We are new to pegging so we had no idea what to expect. My wife seemed to like the idea and was willing to give it a try so we ordered. Great starter kit

Perfect for beginners

Perfect for first-timers!
I didn't expect all that much from this harness given the price - it's very cheap and the features are very basic. However, I couldn't recommend this harness highly enough to beginners! Beginner Pegging
I purchased this product to use with my husband after I had watched Pegging in a porn movie. Brilliant first kit
Ok so me and my wife are new to the pegging and it’s something neither of us had done before. I’m very open minded when it comes to trying things and so is she. Mixed review

Good beginning strap-on
Will first off, the dildo is a great size for beginners. It has more of a taper than a normal dildo, and is much more comfortable, if you are a beginner. Good for beginners
After much deliberation my wife and I decided to take the plunge and order this. We had been flirting with the idea of buying one and this ticked all the boxes. Wonderful strap-on

Gave my OH the surprise of his life
I had been considering this for a while as OH loves anal play although he is a beginner. First time pegged
I had wanted this lovehoney beginner strap on for a while now so my wife could do pegging on me but was going leave getting it till used to anal toys but then it come up on deal of the day and couldnt resist it at the price it was on offer for. On receiving the parcel it came in brown discreet box. On opening the parcel the strap on was inside it's own lovehoney branded box. On taking it out of the box the harness was sealed in a plastic bag and the dildo was separate in the box. So my wife got the harness out and opened it up as it was flat in the box and stepped into it to put it on and it was a very comfortable fit and was easy to adjust and tighten up to fit her. So we got the 5 inch black dildo out and found it to be smooth and certainly didn't look to big for first experience of pegging. So we went to put the dildo in the harness and found three O rings which we found out is to hold bigger dildos when your ready to go go up a size from the beginner one that comes when purchasing it. Once we had the right O ring fitted then you slip the dildo in behind and it sits there very solid. Comfort, comfort, comfort, comfort
I had read reviews on this little beauty and they were all pretty positive. At a discounted price, I had to just try. My wife and I had tried feeldo/strapless and they are tricky to use for her and a little on the big and long side for me. There's a number of good points: 1. The look - that sleek, all round black has an appeal that no bright, garrish colour can match. It looks the part and doesn't look cheap. 2. Design and construction - Comfortable straps for my wife, the varied o-rings are easily put in and taken out using the stud snaps, the dildo can just slide in without removing the o-ring provided it's the right ring. There's a bit of a learning curve, which will depend on you as a couple, before you get in the position that suits. For a MF couple, we did find some positions that suit. FF might be easier, might be more difficult, I'm not sure. I'm confident anyone will find a comfort zone though. The dildo that comes with this harness is so smooth. Like, I read that in another review and was expecting smoothness, but man oh man, it's silky smooth. 3. The experience - I can see this being too small a dildo for some if they like it bigger or are more experience, but that's what the different sized o-rings are for. It feels so comfortable in. Plenty lube of course, but it's a very smooth and pleasant feeling. Perfect for beginners

Perfect for Beginners

Ideal for beginners
This was the first thing my girlfriend and I bought here. I was a little nervous about the delivery as I live with my parents but as stated, the product arrives in a plain box which is taped up nicely. Fabulous starter kit
We bought this as OH has had a huge fantasy of being completely dominated and pegged. The harness is comfortable and has plenty room in it for any size. As per all of the deliveries we have received from LH, the package arrived in discreet, well secured packaging. what you get with this product is the harness, a basic, but good quality, dildo with a flared base, 3 different sized O-rings and a small instruction booklet. Great for a go at pegging
This harness is sold as a "beginners harness" but I think we should make it clear that the harness part of this kit can be used by anyone from first timer to seasoned professional. The beginner part is the dildo. Pegging seems to be a more and more popular activity for couples to try. It is, however, difficult to talk about the first time. The role reversal is often difficult to imagine. This harness is perfect for first timers and beginners as the harness is great and the dildo is non-realistic, smooth and probably smaller than what comes out of most bottoms (and so one can imagine it going in). The harness is essentially free as the dildo and o-rings (it comes with three) are sold separately by LH for about the price of the whole package. It is absolutely fine though. Essentially it is a neoprene triangle coated on the front with PVC. This gives you the feeling that it is easy to clean which is very reassuring given its purpose. The straps are soft enough to be comfy but strong enough to give control when thrusting. The o-rings included would fit almost any size of dildo - i'm certainly not ready for anything requiring the big one! Many people will need to trim the straps as it is designed so anyone could fit in it. The dildo is Love Honey's special soft silicone and is really nice. The feel is nicer than the Tantus equivalent. Being unrealistic is a big selling point for me as the real looking ones seem to imply a different dynamic. The fact that the dildo is smooth is really important. The first I ever tried was rippled and the OH got the urge to thrust (which I understand) but it was uncomfortable. With this one the more thrusting the better! If you have played with anal before the harness will be all you need but the dildo will probably need a bigger alternative option before long. Very pleased, excellent starter kit

To start with we received this very quickly as usual along with a few other things, The packaging is in the very plain and discrete lovehoney box typical white with a picture of the product in question on the front, The dildo is made from very soft and not too flexible silicone its not too large as to put beginners off but still big enough to have fun with when you get more advanced. The straps are very strong very long and will fit most with no problem at all it comes with 3 o-rings to suit most flared base sex toys, The o-rings are easily changed with the simple pop buttons, This harness also has a shiny black plastic front to aid cleaning and a pocket behind for a bullet vibrator to nestle against the clit. In use the harness was quick and easy to put on the dildo slipped in a treat even if the harness is on the wearer, during use the harness never moved and remained comfortable the whole time either with clothes on or without. Upon opening the box is very eye pleasing. There's no embarrassing imagery or anything like that, just a picture of the product. Lovehoney have always been very good at wording descriptions and there's been nothing spared when writing it on the box. Overall a very welcoming and non judgmental package. Inside the box you get the harness, basic dildo with a flared base, 3 different sized O-rings and a small instruction booklet. The harness is very well built and fits well. When my partner and I were looking at buying one of these we were always limited to which we wanted due to how the harness fitted. We called the ones we didn't like the wedgie style harness, where the strap goes up your bum. This harness goes around your legs and waist and fits comfortably without any unwanted intrusion or abrasion. The O-rings are what make this product such an investment. There's no need to buy another harness after this as the O-rings are what hold the dildo in-place. So you can use anything from the supplied 3.25inch circumference dildo to your extra thick dildos. As long as it fits in the O-ring, you can use it. The only thing I could say that's bad about it is when cleaning it the lube can get soaked up in the harness straps. Making maintenance of the straps a little bit of a hassle. The backing on the other hand is made of PVC so if any lube or other liquids get onto it you can wipe them straight off. We were lucky enough to be sent this product as a tester. The item arrived in the usual discrete packaging, and upon opening you are presented with a compact LoveHoney white and purple cardboard box. Inside the box is the harness, 3 o-rings and a dildo (which is quite small being a beginner model). The harness straps are adjustable and my OH was able to do this with ease. The O-Ring is easily fastened in and with that you can attach the dildo, which although a little small for the intermediate/advanced anal user, is perfect for beginners. The dildo has a lovely velvety feel to it, and has a lovely impression of the LoveHoney logo at the base of the shaft, a wonderful detail. Due to the size, there isn't much warming up required with this toy, and once my OH was harnessed up, with a little lube she was able to penetrate me with ease, with the harness and dildo staying in place nicely, which lead to a very satisfying climax. In terms of the harness, one small frustration is the straps hanging down, maybe the pants style strap-on would be better in that aspect. Good for some, but not all

However this set primarily has beginners in mind, and it succeeds at providing a great experience for such users. The harness is very easy to put on and adjust—being very self-explanatory in design—and feels 100% unintimidating because of this. As I’ve already mentioned, the O-rings can be switched out easily, and the harness is even easy to clean for added convenience. All of this left me feeling incredibly confident and undoubtedly sexy. I mean, let’s be honest, if you’re floundering around in an uncertain stupor to try and get a harness on then it kind of kills the mood. But being able to simply slide a harness on and intuitively adjust some straps leaves you feeling empowered and capable for whatever fun awaits. So kudos to this set for making me feel like a strap on pro when, in reality, I’m a relative rookie. Another great aspect of this set (which really allows it to shine through as a beginners set) is the 5 inch dildo provided. People new to pegging are often left worrying that the toy that comes with a strap on kit may be too big or intimidating to start with, and my partner and I were no exception. However, upon taking the slender, manageable, and (dare I say) cute dildo out of the plastic wrapping that it came in both my partner and I felt a wave of relief come across us. The dildo provided is slim and very approachable. It is not much bigger than some beginners butt plugs and seems to me to be the perfect size for the role it fills. The silicone used on this dildo is also divine; silky smooth and similar in quality to that of Lelo’s silicone. Impressive, to say the least. Not to mention this dildo seems to retain less of an after-scent than other silicone anal toys that I own, which I'm grateful for. Returning to the harness for a moment, another really good aspect of the harness is that it's front section is covered in PVC—minimizing the mess caused from lubricant and other bodily fluids. At the back of this section there is also a little stretchy pocket that can accommodate a bullet vibe for the wearer's enjoyment. Good call Lovehoney team! Sadly, this is where my enthusiasm has to end, because the Lovehoney Beginners Strap on Harness Set really didn’t work with my body, or my partner’s. Now, I would consider myself to be a larger lady and, while the harness in this kit did easily accommodate my waistline, it did not work well with the various curves and folds of my body. So, while putting this harness on made me feel like a confident pegging goddess, the feeling didn't last long. No matter how much I tightened this harness it never quite seemed to remain snug enough and refused to work with my body—meaning I never felt like I got the secure fit that I craved. This left me constantly worrying about the harness during use instead of actually enjoying the act at hand. Not ideal. In addition to this, while my partner could easily accommodate the dildo provided with this set, he said that it didn’t do much for him at all. He could feel it was inserted, and was aware of its presence during use, but it didn’t have as much of a curve as he requires and, as a result, it wasn’t hitting the right places for him at all. Despite both having problems with the Lovehoney Beginners Strap On Set both my partner and I realize that these are problems that we have and not anything that is fundamentally wrong with the set. Overall the Lovehoney Beginners Strap On Set provides a great way for couples to explore pegging, and to do so in an accessible manner that disarms many of the common apprehensions associated with pegging. However, I advise buyers to keep in mind their body type and personal preference when deciding whether or not to buy this set. Recommend to: People who want to explore pegging. People who want a strap on set that will make them feel confident. People who can accommodate beginners butt plugs with ease. Do Not Recommend to: People with certain body-types. People who prefer a more prominent curve in their anal toys. People who dislike nylon straps.
Does the job, but needs refining
I'll start off with the dildo - this is soft, smooth and flexible, yet is firm enough to be inserted for anal play. It's a perfect size for beginners - as long as you're relaxed it will slide in easily with a bit of lube with no fuss, even if you have had no prior experience... It's only slightly wider than my thumb. This dildo also has a benefit in that it's base doubles as a suction cup, meaning that it has a use for those waiting to play on their own or want to try it out first. The harness itself came fitted with the 'medium' ring (there is a large, medium and small ring provided, making this suitable if you think you may want to explore bigger toys in the future, making this strap on more versatile.) However, the small ring is needed for the dildo provided. Luckily, the ring is easily changed by un popping the four press studs attached to it and slipping in another. I would prefer the top two straps on my harness to connect to the ring at a higher point to make the dildos used more secure, as they do have a tendency to slip out (especially when I used my heavier glass dildo). This would mean the holes in the heart shaped, slightly padded fabric would need to be moved. Another improvement that could be made would be using less fabric to make the heart, as it is slightly too wide and can be a little uncomfortable against your legs if they are closed. Either this, or a fleecy edging, as opposed to the webbing that's there, would be better. I have also found the straps that I put around myself to be unnecessarily long, though I am reluctant to cut them. There needs to be a loop on the strap for these loose ends to be tucked into , to save them hanging down. Aside from the negatives, if someone wants a nice, unthreatening introduction to pegging, this would be the way to go.
First time bum fun
Pegging is something that hubby and I have always wondered about, and apart from a little pinky fun, we've not experimented this way before. We were very pleased to get this product through the post, on the day expected (via email) and after a few drinks we turned our attention to it. I tried it on to make sure the harness would fit round me, and adjusted it to fit. I'm a curvy size 16 and had lots of harness strap left to make it bigger if required. It was very comfortable to wear, easy to adjust and set. I took the harness off, undid the press studs and put the smaller o ring around the base of the dildo. Then it easily press studded into place as per the easy to flow instructions. The dildo is long and thin black silicone. Firm to the touch with a small amount of flexibility. With the dildo stood proudly in place, I again put the harness on. Mentally I felt sexy, and confident. Hubby said I looked strangely sexy too! -he's straight! I lubed him up and in doggy style we tried it. Hubby wasn't too keen, perhaps it was a big jump from nothing to this, but has not put either of us off. I think it was just a strange sensation for him that he wasn't confident about. We're going to try again soon, as we are hoping that it might have been first timers nerves. However the product was perfect, well made, easy to use and clean. Simple instructions, we both thought it was sexy looking and we did have a lot of fun trying it. We also liked that because the harness came with another two o rings should we want to work up to more the ability is there with this one harness, you just need the dildos.
Really great investment
Really well made sturdy product with good quality finish and excellent design. Feels really secure and comfortable once fitted and very easy to adjust to fit any size wearer. Comes with three different size rings so you can use any flat based dildo with it. Very easy to change rings and dildo. The dildo supplied is so smooth but pretty firm, ideal for beginners anal. There is a little pouch behind the heart shaped part to put a bullet vibrator which really adds to the wearers enjoyment. The whole thing is easy to clean and to remove/put on. I would recommend as it is so versatile and you can purchase other dildos for your needs. 10/10
