E-Stim, scary stuff? That’s all part of the fun. If you’ve tried everything else and are looking for more, it’s got to be worth a go for the ultimate buzz, right?
Out of the box though, the finger sleeves look less than exciting. They feel slightly thick and inflexible but the silicon is silky smooth and there is no noticeable odour. Like my other Electra Stim products, a storage bag is included which is always useful and helps to ensure that they won’t get damaged by other toys in the drawer. It is important to stress at this point that the base unit and connecting wires aren’t included, though I can confirm that the ‘Noir Explorers’ do work with any compatible controller.
Unfortunately, even with my not too chunky man hands, the sleeves would only fit on my ring and little fingers but with wires in place, the connections felt very secure so we were good to go, almost. More so than with some other electro offerings, I found a little conducting gel, like ElectraStim’s own, to be definitely beneficial, both to improve connectivity and to aid glide over delicate body parts.
For the person wearing the ‘Explores’, the silicon is thick so there is little feeling - unless you go to adjust one and touch the connection, sending a quick buzz/tingling down your uninsulated fingers and arm. On the practical side the fingers were a tad clumsy. The active contact point is limited to a small area under the tip and initially, it was sometimes tricky create the connection. From my experience, with my hardware, I think both fingers had to be in play to complete a circuit for the whole thing to work, worth bearing in mind if you have issues. The wires too had a tendency to get in the way but a little practice and I was soon stimming like a pro. With my wire set up, it even worked well with the sleeves on different hands. The joy is watching the reaction on your subject’s face, assuming of course they are as totally into it as you. Tempting as it was, I avoided using on the nipples as any electric stimulation may not be safe in close proximity to the heart.
As a receiver: Oh my! When it was spot on, it really was spot on. With one digit under the frenulum, my partner placed the other at the bottom of my shaft. A great start. I could feel the buzz going all the way through me but as the fingers drew closer together it grew ever better, more intense, until up and over the head, sensational. One of those ‘stop, I can’t take it moments’ rapidly followed by ‘no, please don’t quit, it feels so good’, so back down again, I could feel myself flexing involuntarily to the beat of the long DC pulse we had selected. Bizarrely, it quickly became extremely relaxing until my playmate tweaked the power, just for giggles, my default reaction when something hurts so good. To up the ante further, we made use of a second port on the base unit to add an e-stim sounding rod for some super charged sensations. Later we did try a little bum action but as with other e-stim toys it needed a much more juice. The sleeves were also a little clumsy down there so it may be better to look for an anal specific product if this is your thing. Oh, and don’t forget to turn the volts back down when returning to more sensitive areas! The ‘Silicon Noirs’ are also good for solo play although holding myself in place wasn’t easy with the bulky and slippery finger ends. I could really have done with another hand to operate the controller but shocking my balls was still tremendous fun.
All done and quick wipe was all that was needed. Battery life in the base unit seems good.
Overall, the finger sleeves are a little tricky to use but with this more extreme form of play it’s definitely worth putting in the effort to reap the benefits. The finger sleeves are also more versatile than some other elctro products which tend to be more body part specific. Despite all the minor challenges, do it right and the sensations are like no other, a real winner. I give this product all the stars because when we got it spot on, it lit up my night sky. I saw the galaxies.
