Great after you learn to use it
This is not your typical masturbating sleeve that moves in and down or left and right to simulate penetration. Instead it will simulate pulsations, pressure, and some vibration if you need while you penetrate it yourself.
This means that when I first got it it took a while to figure it out. It has many vibration and pressure modes so it is important to take your time to try and explore them. Do not give up after your first uses.
It is hard to wash. While the sleeve is easy to take out and clean, the interior of the casing is very hard to dry as there is no access apart from the long front sleeve pocket.

I was very hesitant about purchasing this device, especially after reading the negative reviews. However, I'm glad I made the purchase.
First I will say it is a bit large in diameter and can be hard to hold on too. I will also say that it does make quite a bit of noise so if you're trying to be discreet, this isn't the toy to reach for.

The stupidest device in existence
I just cannot fathom who invented this stupid piece of junk. What did they have in mind? Did they have a penis? Lack Luster for the price
I was excited about this. The idea of app control and lover long distance connection was really exciting. The reality was a little lack luster. It is not much different than other vibrating, pressure controlled masturbators I have used. The only difference for me is the connectivity. Which was fun. Good as it ever was
I bought a replacement recently which had a problem. Customer services were excellent, replacing it very promptly, no hassle!
This is a great machine, even without the using the app. I use it with the constant pressure rather than the 1,2, or 3, on/off inflation which can be noisy. It has great weight and feel, and lasts plenty for a good session. Keeping it firm means using vibration on setting 1 or 2 is ample, and not noisy. If you let the pressure drop too much that does change, so you do need to top up occasionally.
I like that it is easy to clean and maintain, charges up in reasonable time, and one charge lasts plenty for a good session. IMHO it offers good value for money. Some say it's bulky, but I'd say considering what it delivers it's really not bad, and it's not a problem to hold in use.

An Ok Device
I had high expectrations for the Lovense Max 2.

Definately NOT worth every penny
Going into this purchase I made sure to compare prices, reviews, even watched videos so I know what to expect with this purchase, yet I was still disappointed.
First off the noise as other reviews have mentioned is way too loud, forget about it if you do not want someone else in the house know you are using this toy.
Secondly, the sheer size of this bulky thing is highly unpractical, the small groves on the glossy case are meant to help your grip I assume but with your hands covered in ... substances, youre always struggling to regrip, slipping or even dropping.
The sleeve this toy comes with is really soft and comfortable but it does not sit in the case well, if you like to play more rough, expect to pull it out the case each thrust.
The modes this toy offers are super underwhelming as well, for the price, I would expect something .. more. You get a vibrating mode akin to the sensation of a gaming controller placed on your crotch, that is it and the second mode I have still no clue what is meant to do, I suppose squeeze? but each time I press it, it just makes noise but nothing physical to me.

This is the second electronic device I've tried and both had similar issues. In all fairness I am in my 50's and cannot maintain an erect penis.
Unique experience
At first I wasn't the biggest fan, but I found a groove that worked.

I was looking forward for the Max 2 to come in the post, it came in a discreet brown box and then inside of that the packaging which is a bit apple like; white, some info and a picture.
It is packaged well, comes with instructions and a charger which clips on magnetically.
You can actually buy a realistic sleeve (not included) to use rather than the stock one, I have both.
First off their app is great, just pair it up and then use the toy with someone over the internet or go through some preconfigured patterns. There is a bunch of patterns by other people which could be nice for you to try.
If you do not use this with an app then there are two buttons on the device; one for contractions and a second for different vibration modes that it will cycle through when pressing.
The toy can also be paired to a PC using their USB Dongle (not included)
When I got this toy set up I found it quite chunky and hard to hold, it is like a mega flask/container and quite hard to grip.
Getting into the thing was a bit of struggle in using it.
The downfall of this toy would be how hard it is to grab and then in using it you find out that it is quite quite loud, the vibrations rumble (you can actually set a limit in software but even then.. its loud)

I read the pamphlet that came with the unit and I recommend going to the website. There was information about cleaning the unit that wasn’t included in the pamphlet.

Utterly mind-blowing
I was not expecting much from this, I've wanted a toy like this for a while and eventually decided to give it a go. I was expecting it to be a bit of a disappointing dud. It was utterly incredible it took me from nothing to a gasping wreck in 1 minute and the biggest orgasm of my life in less than 10 minutes, I so was not prepared for it. Without me doing anything, I just turned it on, closed the suction vent, picked a pattern and left it in place.

My new favourite

I inserted a finger into the toy and was amazed by the strength of the contractions and vibrations. The inside of the toy was very smooth and silky to the touch. Very luxurious. With a generous amount of lube my partner found he really enjoyed the feeling of this toy. We concluded that the materials used feel very good quality. The toy was also fairly easy to clean but it took a bit more effort because of the textured sleeve. Using the buttons on the toy itself was fairly easy but I much prefer using the app. I just find it much easier to visualise and control that way. My partner also agreed that it was simpler. Connecting the toy to my phone was so easy as well. It was easy to adjust the suction so that it wasn't too much for my partner. I have a friend who lives in Germany who volunteered to help me test the connectivity of the toy at distance, since I live in Scotland. When he turned the toy on using the app the response in the toy was pretty much instantaneous and the connectivity didn't drop at any point. Which is absolutely brilliant. I really like this toy because it's not like anything we've ever had before. Definitely new and interesting.
Solid design and great toy, even without the partner features
Starting off with the design, it feels solid, with a plastic outer casing. It even looks like some kind of high tech flask when stood upright, though I personally wouldn't leave it lying around. The inside has a removable sleeve, which also makes cleaning easier! The sleeve isn't as good as the material used on FLeshlights, but it's still really good! The buttons are unlocked by holding the vibration button down for a few seconds, which also makes it safe for travelling with, without any fear of unexpected vibrations! The charging cable has a magnetic connector for the toy, so just be careful you don't lose this, as it's not as easy to replace as a standard 3.5mm USB cable, etc. During use, you have control of the vibrations or suction, with a valve at the top if the suction gets too much. I personally didn't think the suction or vibrations were amazing on their own, but combined they really did get the job done fast! The canal was a bit of a tight fit for me, but not to the point of it being uncomfortable. With a bit of lube, it was good to go! If you are looking for a hands free toy, then this probably isn't the one for you, as I found myself using it more as a stroker. With the added vibrations and suction though, this really was quite the experience and I'd fully recommend it! I haven't tried the bluetooth/remote features, but I imagine it's the same with just someone else controlling the vibrations and suction patterns instead. Overall a great toy, even without having tried the partner features and definitely worth the money.
No Compatible Content
The Lovense website advertised that this would sync to content and they even named a content partner. Unfortunately, the content partner no longer supports the required version of their software for Lovense compatibility and the content now lacks the encodings for the contraction part of this toy. Overall very disappointing as content was my sole reason for purchasing this toy. I have read many positive reviews on this product for people who buy compatible toys for their partners, but I can't independently validate that. As far as the device itself, I like that the main part of the sleeve is open on the bottom to make inserting a washcloth for drying super easy. Vibrations don't really work for me, but coupled with the contractions this was an enjoyable toy to use. As far as the build quality, I dislike the air vent cover as it wants to close despite needing to remain open during use. The flapper works decently for cleaning when it is supposed to remain closed however. The slider for adjusting the suction didn't seem to have much effect, but I appreciate the nuanced difference for those that care.
Not what I expected
To start off, I do enjoy this toy quite a bit, but I was expecting a bit more. My impression was that it was going to squeeze me tight, and have very strong vibrations, and maybe be a fully hands free experience. Unfortunately that is not the case. Initially I noticed that the canal after entry is very wide. I am what I would say average when it comes to girth, and I barely come in contact with the sleeve on all sides. Secondly I was disappointed when it came to the contractions. I was expecting a direct squeeze from the walls, but what I received was suction, and not much. My last complaint would be the sound. When using toys such as this most people dont want the entire household to know. Unfortunately this toy is quite loud, especially when thrusting. Overall I have enjoyed this toy though. The vibration is pretty strong. The app connectivity/control is awesome. Being able to sync to music is neat. Having the option to use with a partners toy is a plus. So I'd say it was money well spent.
