We both enjoy using toys and were looking forward to testing this.
For him it's great masturbator, the vibrations are strong, there's enough patterns for you to find something that suits you. The vibrations are concentrated on the underside of the penis just at the spot where the shaft meets the head.
Best to add a bit of lube and slide the toy on then scroll through the patterns and then you can turn the vibrations up or down to suit.
For her you can use the remote to control the vibrations on the opposite side of the toy, again you can turn these up or down to suit you.
It worked best for us with him on his back with the toy on and her on top grinding on the toy.
It takes a bit of planning and work to get this right but when you do it's very good.
A different type of toy. . .
Toys in our toy box follow a theme. They tend to be of the usual types, so when the opportunity to try something new out, we were eager to have a go.
We are no stranger to couples vibrators, but all of the ones we have tried went inside. This one doesn't.
Out of the box, it's a quality item. Well packaged, premium feel and looks the part too.
Now, this can be used solo by both partners are together, so my review will cover all 3 aspects.
I (male) tried this myself initially. My first thoughts was to use this as a masturbator. However, it's quite heavy and a little awkward to hold comfortably. It's also very right if you have any girth. The "wings" wrap around and hug your shaft. These are fairly rigid so a girthy shaft will be gripped tightly. For me this did not feel good. As such, even with lube, it was difficult to us in this way. The vibration "plate" is extremely powerful, so I tried to leave it in place and let the vibrations do there thing. Unfortunately the weight of the item meant it needed to be held.
So maybe my partner (female) would like it by herself?
Unfortunately not. We have various vibrating toys, this isn't designed for the female solo play and so doesn't cater to those specific needs. Bulky, heavy and difficult to control once in place means it's not a female solo toy either.
Finally, as a couple. It's almost like a grinding pad, but rather than it being on your thigh, it's on your shaft.
We found due to its weight and size, it was best for my partner to be on top. The ridge and point of the grinding side was a good size and hit the spot, but it wasn't easy to use for long. For her, it kept rolling to the side when any pressure was applied. For me, it dropped tightly and pressed into it, on some occasions so the vibrations felt "sharp" on me. It's also uncomfortable when my partner grinds up and down and it squeezes and pinches the tip.
We've used this for a month and have mbt really enjoyed it or found the perfect way to use it.

First impressions:
I'll start with the box - looks a bit tacky. . . It included everything you’d expect: the toy, remote (will come to that), charging cable, a mini screwdriver, user guide, and a little grey bag.
Product Look and Feel:
Out of the box, the toy was a chalky and had a bit of a weird smell to it. I gave it a rinse, and that helped. The marine blue silicone is smooth, soft, and looks great with the overall design. I've never seen something that looks like this, really. On the downside - its quite heavy, which makes it difficult to use as a couples toy.
Performance:
This toy is a beast - I mean its POWERful. The vibrations are deep and rumbly rather than buzzy, mostly concentrated in the power plate which fits on the frenulum. I've never felt anything like it - it gives a great orgasm, but watch out as its so strong - you need to take it off pretty quick afterwards. There are 7 patterns and 8 intensity levels, giving plenty of options.
Fit & usability:
This is where it struggled. As a couple’s toy, it just didn't work. Its too heavy, and with my wife on top - it just didn't stay in the place that gave the right vibrations. When held in place as a solo toy, though, that was a game changer - it felt great—strong pressure and very satisfying vibrations.
Remote:
The remote didn’t work at all. I even opened it using the included screwdriver, but still no luck. I haven’t tried replacing the battery yet, so that might be the issue—but out of the box, it was unusable.
Other stuff :
Its quite loud during use - louder than our magic wand.
Magnetic charging cable is convenient - but again - my gripe is that its a non-standard cable.
Battery lasted about an hour, but also took a while to charge to that level.

Powerful & Innovative Couples Toy
As a couple, we both have our individual favourite toys, but very few that can be used interchangeably and even simultaneously, which is what caught our eye with the Hot Octopuss Duo. Once we had the toy in hand, it felt soft to touch and of great quality, and the open design makes it very inviting. I am also a fan of non-anatomical designs for male toys, and this feels fitting for a partnered toy.
When it came to using the toy, things felt a little complicated. The buttons on the toy control the pattern and intensity of the pulse plate that sits inside the toy to stimulate the male partner. You then have a wireless remote to control the pattern and intensity of the top part of the toy, which stimulates the female partner.
I found this to be okay for solo male play, but when using it with my partner, I wasn’t able to comfortably change the settings for the pulse plate, whilst holding it in place, and having my partner rest/ grind on top of it. It would be more useful if the remote could control both functions, rather than having independent places of control.
The power of the ‘pulse plate’ is very strong, and it feels great across all the different patterns/ strengths, providing a different experience compared to your usual male stroker. I did find that moving the toy up and down didn’t add anything, and keeping it still brought the most pleasure. This makes sense for its intended dual use and also feels like a more mindful way of masturbating. The sweet spot for me was positioning the pulse plate on my head/frenulum, using it more as a vibrator, which gave some very strong orgasms and an enjoyable build-up.
For my partner, the vibrations could be felt strongly and were enjoyable, but positioning was not the easiest, as there is no true targeted zone. It can also be difficult to keep it in place without holding it, as even a small amount of movement can cause it to topple without a firm hold. It brings enough stimulation to keep things interesting and help build up pleasure and arousal, but we’ve found ourselves reaching for other toys or switching to oral or penetrative sex to bring her to orgasm. This is not due to a lack of vibration, as it is very strong and rumbly, so with some more experimentation, I am sure we will get there.
Clean up is very easy due to its open design and smooth surfaces. The charging cable is magnetic, which is nice, and the device has an LED that indicates charging and full. It is worth noting that the remote is not rechargeable and takes a cell battery, it is also not waterproof like the toy itself is. Something to keep in mind if you are considering using this together in a wet environment, as you can’t control the top without this.
Overall, I think this is a great toy for extending sessions, whether that is adding something fresh and playful to partnered sex, allowing both partners to receive, or offering a different experience for male solo masturbation.
I can also see this being an amazing toy for anyone with ED, as it can be used just as easily soft or erect, and when used together, provides a very close, intimate experience similar to penetrative sex.

Fun to use together
We got the Hot Octopuss Pulse IIII Duo Remote Control Male Masturbator to try together, and overall it’s a really nice addition to our collection.

Amazing Product but died after 2 years
I purchased the Hot Octopus duo II, which I’ll admit is not the same as this model, however it appears the same.
I thoroughly enjoyed mine for about 2 years and then it just stopped working. The warranty is only 1 year so now I have to buy something else. It was great to use but I’d expect at least 5 years of life considering the cost.
Powerful vibes, but for us, a poor fit
My partner and I are always looking for new ways to engage with sex, so the idea of an external toy that doesn't require penetration excited us, to say the least.
First Impressions
The toy arrived in a discreet brown cardboard box. Inside the product packaging was the toy, a remote, charging cable, a small screwdriver, a user guide, and a tech specs leaflet. There was also a drawstring bag for storage, which was a nice touch.
The rest of the unboxing was a bit of a letdown. The toy was a bit dusty with a strong chemical smell, but after washing it with soap and warm water, it looked and felt brand new. We love the marine blue silicone covering the toy, it feels smooth and complements the octopus branding nicely.
The remote has the same soft, premium-feeling silicone as the toy. The gold trim is a charming accent, though the plastic buttons do feel a bit cheap. Removing the silicone cover and the plastic cover held in place by a screw reveals an included coin battery inside. Since it's just a small remote, we imagine the battery will last a while, so we don't mind that it's not rechargeable.
Usage
For us, keeping the toy in place was a bit of a struggle. Its weight caused it to slide off easily, even during solo play. We experimented with different lubes (and even no lube as a test) but nothing improved the situation. However, after holding the toy in place, my partner was thrilled by the pressure of the arch and the strength of the vibrations.
On the topic of vibrations, this toy packs a punch. For the wearer, most of the vibrations occur in the raised circular section with a crown imprint, and they feel more rumbly compared to a toy's typical buzzy motor. We loved the 7 patterns and 8 strengths, and quickly found the settings that worked for us. The strongest mode, 'turbo', was actually numbing for the both of us, but it's nice to have such a high ceiling to experiment with.
However, one limitation we noticed is that the remote can only control the arch’s vibrations. This means, to adjust the vibrations for the wearer, you need to use the buttons on the toy itself. In our opinion, the experience could be improved if all of the toy's controls were located on the remote.
The toy is fairly quiet overall. If you're conscious of flatmates/neighbours, and a potentially awkward conversation, they shouldn't be able to hear it through a wall.
The cable and charging port use magnets, which is convenient. We got about an hour of play from a full charge, which for us, was more than enough for a single session.
Lube & Cleaning
Using a water-based lube made the toy the most comfortable for the both of us, and the silicone was easy to clean with soap and warm water. The exposed metal contacts on the charging port are likely water-resistant, but just in case, we would recommend avoiding them when cleaning.
Final Thoughts
We were initially excited to try this toy, and although the vibrations were deep and rumbly, the design of the toy didn't work for us. That said, if penetrative sex is something you wish to avoid, it might be worth a try.
