Texture:
Despite being a bit more sensitive, I didn't find the textures in this stroker too intense to enjoy. However, after some experimenting, I believe these are inherent qualities of any single-ended stroker design and require a bit of technique to play around. Any volume you push into the sleeve is a volume of air that needs to be displaced. For most, especially girthier guys, allowing that displaced air to exit through the same place you're entering would be difficult. As a result, the air compresses further into the sleeve, likely trying to stretch the inner silicon sleeve, displacing and thus compressing the air between the silicon sleeve and the outer TPE sleeve.
Silicon stretches well, so using the inner sleeve by itself should work well since there is no struggle to displace a tiny volume of air within the entirety of your room. However, the outer TPE case (while nice and flexible) doesn't stretch as easily. This causes your inserted volume to fight directly with the volume of air in the silicon, the volume of air between the silicon and TPE, and the TPE itself. If you don't like the sensation of intense tightness and resistance to penetration, then the solution is to remove air before entry.
The main volume of air you want to target is inside the inner silicon sleeve -- this air directly resists penetration, fighting exponentially harder the further you penetrate. With the toy assembled and lubricated, simply squeeze the inner sleeve with the outer case, from the back toward the entrance, until the inner sleeve is relatively collapsed; then, begin sliding yourself in. Once inside, your penis should act as the seal preventing air from re-entering, and you can stop squeezing with your hands.
With less air in the main chamber, you should experience less resistance to penetration. If the toy still feels too tight, you can try squeezing some extra air out from between the TPE case and inner sleeve; you should be able to hear this air as you squeeze it out. I've found this volume of air tends to control the feeling of tightness versus suction: squeezing almost all air out of the toy, both in the inner sleeve and between the two layers, contributes to a much stronger suction sensation. Likewise, squeezing air out of the inner sleeve but leaving more air between the two layers causes a tighter sensation -- directed around your shaft rather than resisting penetration like the air in the inner sleeve causes.
Sound:
No matter how you adjust the air pressures in the toy, it is worth noting that I did not find this stroker very quiet. Depending on your living situation, that may be good or bad; I am pretty neutral about noise, as it doesn't bother anyone in my house. Many factors affect noise: the thickness of lubricant, how you squeeze the stroker before/during use, and how quickly you move; however, the toy was generally pretty loud compared to my other strokers, no matter how I used it.

On the plus side, I found my orgasms to be amazing with this stroker. Maintenance:

While every piece can come apart, including the two plastic rings that sandwich the outer TPE case, I've found I only need to separate the inner silicon sleeve from the TPE to clean everything thoroughly.
For my process, I usually remove the inner sleeve, spray toy cleaner in and around the inner sleeve and outer TPE case, rub around a bit, let sit for 30-60 seconds, then rinse and rub thoroughly with warm water. After a few firm shakes to remove excess water, I stand the TPE case up on a shelf with the opening up, and hang the inner sleeve between two coat hangers (tensioned together by some light elastic bands) to dry. I usually accelerate the drying process by twisting a piece of paper towel tightly into a thin rod and inserting into the sleeve. The paper towel helps to absorb water toward the bottom that has a harder time evaporating. The same trick can be done for the outer TPE case as well. With the added paper towel, both the sleeve and case are usually dry within 12-24 hours.
Summary:
Overall, I found the Lovehoney Heads Up Textured Stroker Cup to be a unique experience. While it took me a few sessions to get a handle on the dynamics of air pressure within the toy, I feel it ended up being one of the most interesting features. The two isolated chambers essentially provide two semi-indepenant adjustable settings for tightness and penetration. Before penetrating, squeezing air out of the inner silicon sleeve allows for easier penetration and thrusting, while removing air from between the inner sleeve and outer TPE case decreases the feeling of tightness and increases suction. Inside, two unique textures provide equally stimulating sensations; the first nub section is looser but more intense, while the second ribbed section is milder but noticably tighter. First impressions of this stroker are fantastic! Once we opened it from the discreet brown box, the item was presented in Lovehoneys usual clean branded packaging, which looks great!
We opened the box and removed the Stroker, first impressions of the product were very good! It's completely see through which makes it great for couples and those who want to see what going on inside. It's design is a stroker in a silicone based sleeve which is soft and flexible allowing the user to apply additional pressure. The stroker itself is dotted and ribbed but we'll talk more about this later.
Needless to say at this point we thought this is going to be great. What a fantastic idea!
However we're afraid to say there's a flaw.
As the stroker is in a silicone sleeve there's no where for the air to escape which creates a pressure inside the stroker taking away from the desired use. This pressure prevents you from feeling the benefit of the ribbed and dotted texture inside.
However dont be put off yet, theres a workround!
You can remove it from the sleeve and use the stroker independently, which is great! Or squeeze all the air out the sleeve before inserting into it which again heightens the pleasure. We found doing this enabled you to really feel the texture inside making it a lot more enjoyable. Personally I'd like more pronounced ridges in the ribbed section however its deffinatly noticeable and feels great.
Bottom line - its good fun easy to use and easy to clean, what's not to like.
Good (but not mind blowing) Stroker Cup
I've been lucky enough to be chosen by LoveHoney to test this product out and my overall summary is that it is a good (but not mind blowing) stroker cup, with strengths and weaknesses.
With regards to the aesthetics of the product, it looks smart, sophisticated and has a good weight to it.
The textured stroker cup has three parts to it, the cup, the stroker insert and a screw on lid perfect for travel.
The see-through cup has a diameter of 2 inches, with no stretch at the rim. I personally found this to be an issue because if you have a girth anywhere near 5-6 inches (as I do), the stroker was too tight/uncomfortable to use in the cup and therefore I had to use the stroker separately outside of the cup to be comfortable.
The stroker insert is also see-through perfect if you want to observe yourself/partner having fun. The insert has a decent "insertable" length of approximately 6 inches, can stretch considerably and should be suitable for most girths. It also has three textured sections, towards the entry point a c.2 inch, pok-a-dot texture, the shaft (central) section has a 2-inch ribbed texture and the penis head section has a smooth texture.
I personally found the ribbed and pok-a-dot texture great for stimulation. However, no texture and no resulting sensitivity on the head resulted in no-mind blowing orgasm compared to other strokers out there.
The toy is easy to clean and the stroker insert is removable and can be turned inside out to make cleaning even easier.
Overall this toy is good, it isn't the worst but also isn't the best stroker out there, but may be worth a shot as a first time stroker/toy and to see if strokers are right for you.
Unfulfilled potential
A toy that doesn't quite reach expectations.
I was kindly given this toy to test as part of the tester programme by Lovehoney.
The stroker comes nicely boxed and wrapped, in the usual Lovehoney branded box. When you open the box, the soft removable wrapping is a nice luxury touch that helps give the toy a more up-market feel. On initial inspection the toy looks very exciting. There are a few stroker toys on the market that claim to be clear/transparent, but in my experience they aren't quite as clear as you would like. This particular toy is different, it is very clear. The idea of being able to see absolutely everything as you play, in crystal clear detail makes you want to jump straight in. The external case is a softer plastic, allowing for manual change in tightness around you when playing. With the removable internal TPE canal providing several different textures along its length.
Unfortunately all the excitement swiftly goes as you start to play. Even with excessive amounts of lube, the toy is so tight on entry. It really distracts from the experience. And then when you do actually manage to force yourself inside, due to the fact there are no air holes on the toy, the suction is like a vacuum. There are many toys that try to replicate anal and others that try to mimic deepthroat, and there are similarities between the feeling of those toys and this one. But it's just too extreme, too tight and too much suction. With no available space for the air to escape, the toy makes an unpleasant noise as you slide it up and down, which again spoils the experience. The internal canal provides good variety of feeling, but is on the slightly rough side.
The toy is easy to clean and store after use, and would be able to be reused for a decent amount of time.
Overall this toy had so much potential, but in practice is disappointing and as such I wouldn't recommend adding it to your toy collection.
