Love it - For the speeds alone!
This is my second suction toy and the only one I've used where the suction alone is enough for me. It's not so much suction but more of a pleasant soft feeling. With all suction toys I've found you have to 1. be in the mood and 2. be open to it taking a while to build. If you're a vibrator girl like me you'll have to get used to the time it takes with suctions (maybe that's actually just me and my anti depressants tbh- but it will get you there if you're similar!)
It's visually appealing but yes like others say it can be difficult to hold when using, that's my only gripe. It is nice to use though once you have a grip, and the buttons are easy to find. I had a rose toy before and the buttons were a nightmare. Charging is A++ too, no magnetic one just a little pin into self healing silicone. Looks wise it doesn't look like a toy, and the cap is SO nice to have. No one wants dust etc. on it.
For the best bit though (well apart from the orgasms lol) the SPEEDS. Oh my God, who designed this because thank you so much. The speeds just INCREASE IN SPEED to all the levels you need. This is my first experience with a clitoral suction toy. . . well from the first time I tried it I was pleasantly surprised. . . it certainly did the job very quickly. . . I only use the lower settings as I found the more powerful settings way too much but that's not really a problem. The appearance is nice and as others have said it doesn't look like a sex toy at all.
It can be a little tricky to get into the correct position especially when slippery but it really does the job when it is there.
It is quite noisy when not locked in position so probably need to drown out with music if anyone is in a nearby room.

Really love this product but after only owning it 4 months the head (not the travel cap) has become loose and the cap doesn't fit over it anymore. Would highly recommend if theres a solution to shrinking the rubber head.

Small, discreet, AND mighty!
These words usually do not go together as most of the time small and discreet toys compromise on power, or powerful toys are not small and discreet! We were surprised the ROMP Free X is more powerful than a large non-discreet suction toy we have. The larger but less powerful suction toy was cheaper, so you do get what you pay for with the ROMP being a bit more expensive as a higher quality brand-name toy compared to some of the cheapest suction toys.
If you haven’t used suction toys before, the sensation is not exactly like someone sucking on the clit or nipple, but somewhere between actual sucking and a regular vibrating stimulation. The suction stimulation is definitely a unique sensation from a toy, we can’t recommend it enough if you haven’t tried it before! The Romp Free X would be a great starter suction toy (or, in our case, our second suction toy) as the many different intensity levels allow you to find the intensity that works best for you.
My wife first used this as intended - on her clit with a little bit of water-based lube to help it glide and provide better suction. She found the medium-high intensities to be ideal for her clit (levels ~5-8) to quickly reach a pure clitoral orgasm! The lower intensity levels were perfect for warming her up and teasing her before she was on her way to the main event. The highest intensities were a bit too much for her to handle, but that was not much of a problem for a toy to have intensities below and above your ideal level (rather than being limited to a maximum intensity that doesn’t do it for you). The + and – buttons are great for allowing you to change the intensity up and down, rather than having to cycle through all the intensities with a single button. This makes it even easier to find the perfect intensity for the moment.
As with many toys, clit stimulators can often be used as nipple stimulators and vice versa. This also makes a lovely nipple suction stimulator as both my wife and I can attest! Using it on my nipples, the lower intensity levels were great for an initial rumbly tease. Moving up the intensity levels I found the medium-high intensities to also be my sweet spot without being overpowered or left sore at the highest intensities! Also, at any vibration intensity, moving the toy slightly such that the suction seal is broken can provide short breaks from intense stimulation (while still giving some titillating sensation instead of removing the stimulation completely).
The ROMP Free X definitely delivers on the discreet portion in its design and size, making it a perfect travel toy or even for staying over with family (or if you live with family/parents/roommates that you wouldn’t want to know what it is!). It would blend right in with makeup or toiletries, and even if someone examined further, it looks similar enough to innocent beauty products they would be none the wiser. However, on the few highest settings the noise is loud enough it could be heard through a door if the house is quiet. At the low to medium settings the only audible noise outside your bedroom will be your moans of pleasure! Unfortunately, there is no travel lock (even with the cap on, the toy will turn on) so when traveling you’ll want to pack it in a way the + button wouldn’t get pressed down for a few seconds, accidentally turning it on.
The box (and toy/charging cord) are pleasing shades of purple and yellow without being over-the-top. The box makes the toy even more giftable and includes a good amount of information. There is a detailed playbook included inside with instructions and extra ideas of different ways to play with the toy, and a bonus goodie included (fun and saucy stickers)! The ROMP Free X box is really the only way someone else would know what its for, otherwise the toy itself looks very discreet.

Nice chubby deodorant
I love suction toys, but I normally go for womanizers - this is the first Romp that I've tried and I'm really pleased I got the opportunity to test it! It reminds me most of my first Womanizer Starlet that converted me to suction toys, but with more settings, waterproof, and way longer battery life for such a small toy. I do have a preference for pin style charging cables like the Romp Free X, although they're less discreet to leave out than a regular usb charger that could be for a phone.
The shape looks a lot like a deodorant, I think someone not paying attention would easily gloss over it on a bedside table without noticing, and I also think it's really cute. I like the soft silicone on the body of the toy, and that the light plastic lid also has a similar smooth touch finish. The latch on the lid is good enough to hold, but not quite strong enough to make it hard to get out. If you leave the lid on the bedside table, it's there ready for you to stand the toy in if you put it down so you don't need to worry about making a mess. Be cautious about this for drying after you've washed it up though - the water leaks into the lid (great! No mess while travelling!) but that does mean I needed to go back and empty it out and leave it to air dry later.
The silicone head is a little harder to get on and off than womanizer toys, not a challenge but marginally less convenient. I also didn't enjoy the shape quite as much, it still feels great but it's more a toy that can glide over sensitive spots than one that is designed exclusively to nestle the head of your clit into. This means it's better if you like any stimulation on the nerve bundle in the shaft of your clit, since it doesn't make it sore and irritated like other suction toys can.
The angle it needs to be used at is unusual - I normally rate suction toys on the basis of how easy they are to slip between you during penetrative sex because they have been so key in solving the orgasm gap. This one just doesn't quite seem designed for it? When using it on my back, instead of lying quite flat over me, it wants to stick up like a chubby little erection. I found it quite fun honestly, I could see it being nice for anyone transmasc, but I'm not sure it's as good for partnered sex.
The settings are good, a definite step up from only having 4 on the Starlet, plus up and down instead of just cycling through. It didn't seem very responsive to button presses though - sometimes they took, sometimes they didn't, sometimes I thought maybe I went too fast and it couldn't keep up, sometimes it then overshot. I also found it similarly did not turn off rapidly when I held the down button, which is definitely something I would expect in a travel toy. It wasn't all the time or enough to frustrate me, I just had to press them a couple of times - I wouldn't let it put you off unless this is really important to you.
The volume of was reasonable - definitely louder than the more high end "smart silence" womanizers, but very reasonable for the power and price point. Only settings 8, 9, and 10 were audible enough for me to have much awareness of how it sounded, settings 1-7 are nice and quiet when the head is suctioned on.
I really enjoyed the feel overall, the vibrations and suction were soft and pleasant rather than sharp and stimulating, they felt similar to the older womanizer toys. Recent womanizers seem higher frequency, more like the "sonic" vibrators which I don't enjoy as much. I do think the design slightly less accessible though - getting the lid on and off, pressing the buttons and getting the response, and it doesn't stay put on it's own very well.
If the shape appeals to you, I would recommend it over the Starlet. Although one of the reasons I enjoyed the Starlet was the poor battery life - knowing I was limited to only 35 mins meant I didn't have to worry about overusing it hunting for multiple orgasms - I stopped when it ran out!
Small but mighty
This clitoral stimulator is a great toy and I really like the discreet design as it doesn't look like a sex toy.
This features many vibrating/pulse settings which is really good to use either solo play or with my husband and it is the first toy that I have felt close to squirting with and I think with a little more play this will be achieved.

As someone who travels for work, having something that is truly discreet is important. I don't want the embarrassment of something being pulled out of my bag during a search and having to explain it (although it's never really as bad as you think) - so this little toy is perfect. It looks like a roll on deodarant, and has a close fitting top to make sure no fluff gets anywhere near the workings...so in that case its perfectly discreet. Tricky to position, but worth it.
We are no strangers to suction toys with them becoming our firm favourite to grab from the bedside table.
This one is slightly different to the other we have in that it is pitched as a travel toy. It had a click on cap that stops the top getting dirty when in your case. The cap is great and a welcome addition to the toy. It also has a flat spot so it stands up on the nightstand rather than rolling around and being out of reach when needed.
The vibrations are powerful and certainly pack enough of a punch for it's small size, but it's not the most powerful we have used, which was to be expected.
As with most suction toys, it is fairly noisy when it doesn't have a purchase on something, so beware of thin hotel walls if you are travelling with this.
Unfortunately for us, the shape of the head made it hard to get in the right position. With these toys getting a good seal is everything and when it happens it is great. There were multiple times where getting that seal took some time and actually resulted in some unwanted soreness. The angled edges of the suction zone mean that once found it will be spot on, but getting there needed some careful manoeuvring even with plenty of lube.
It will stay in the arsenal and come with us on trips but might not be out go to toy.
Very Impressive
I have tried another clitoral stimulator before and I didn't really get on with it to be quite honest but was not ready to give up on clitoral stimulators so I got this to give it a try and I am really happy and pleasantly surprised!! This definitely give me major orgasms.

The charging time for this toy however from empty is two hours which I don't think is overally bad. New Travel Companion
The ROMP range have yet come up with another gem of a toy in the Free X.
It's light and compact design is a traveller's delight. It's not too obvious to what it is when packed in a washbag.
Only issue we found that it lacks a travel lock unlike other toys which gives you that peace of mind going through security.
It's waterproof which to us is always one of the top features on a toy for us.
Also the X differs in design to other clitoral suckeres as the air suction point is inverted rather than protruding like most of its rivals. Maybe this helps it give such great orgasms as we experienced, top tip is lube the suction hole a little.
It has the USB jack plug rather than the magnetic connection which we prefer as stays in place better.
The 10 settings give a varied level of intensity, along with a run time of 45mins but don't think many users will need that. We certainly didn't 😊🤪

As usual, the package from Lovehoney was very discreet. Inside was the product in its own branded ROMP box and comes with a USB charger and instructions.
First impression is that it looks like a roll-on deodorant with the travel lid in place, which means that you could easily leave it out and no one would look twice at it.
This is a clitoris stimulator and not a clit sucker, so it looks different to my other toys. The gap in the toy for your clit is quite large so you can move it around to find your sweet spot.
The Pleasure Air Technology provides a very pleasurable, rumbly sensation which I find is a wonderful way to start to warm up for a solo session. I’ve yet to experience an orgasm with this toy, but I’ve certainly enjoyed using it to date and will continue to experiment with it.

Now I'm no virgin to a clitoral suction toy and have a few in my collection, ranging from the more basic options right up to the high end pricy ones.
For the price of this, it's an absolute bargain! I fell in love from the first use.
I have become more of a frequent holiday traveller again after covid and I'm always looking for me convenient and discreet toys. This is ideal. To most people, I think they wouldn't automatically assume this is a sex toy. Unfortunately it doesn't come with a travel lock, but I've never ever had an issue with any of my toys going off. Even if they did, I'm sure everyone would get some amusement from it, as would I!

My new secret gadget

I’m usually not a fan of smaller or travel toys as they often lack power, but I was really surprised by it seemed to be as powerful as regular Romp toys. The settings are straightforward and simple, making the toy super easy to use. It can be a bit slippy to hold when using lube but that’s generally the case with small silicone toys. I also thought it was a bit noisier than other similar toys.
In terms of design/size, suction toys with an internal “hole” rather than an external one may be difficult to use for vulva owners with a flatter/smaller clitoris as it may not reach. Having said that, the power was enough for a good orgasm even without direct contact.
I think this is perfect for folks who prefer toys that are discreet, small or travel friendly and for those new to toys in general.
As a side note, I absolutely loved the little snazzy stickers that came with it!

The product is called a "ROMP Free X Travel Clitoral Stimulator) and states that it uses "Pleasure Air Technology". It mentions about having 10 intensity levels (which is true) and that it is travel size (that is also true). It is waterproof, with 45 minutes of battery at highest speed and is it USB rechargeable.
Taking out the sex toy, I was very impressed by it's small size, it's like a slightly thin, 2-shaded purple avocado, it really doesn't look like a smutty sex toy (not that I have anything against smutty sex toys haha) but as a travel friendly sex toy it 100% does the job! Also, the lid on it really does a great job at covering up the clitoral suction hole, There are 2 buttons on the size, a larger + button and and a smaller - button with the ROMP logo on the other side. Honestly, it looks more like some sort of casual massager than a clitoral stimulator, which I think is exactly what ROMP were aiming for with the design, and it really does achieve that! It's very discreet!
It includes a USB charger which plugs into the top end of the sex toy (with that re-healing plastic, which is what makes it waterproof) and as you charge it there is a small light that flicks until (after a little while) it remains a solid light, which shows that it is fully charged.
To turn it on, you hold the + button for a few seconds and to turn it off, you hold the - button for a few seconds, very simple! And easy to remember! There really are 10 intensity settings and, thankfully, the highest setting really does GO FOR IT which is amazing! I normally masturbate with the Lovehoney wand at FULL SPEED (plugged into the mains for all the electricity I can get haha) so I was very thankful that this little sex toy packs a big punch!!
As always with clitoral stimulators, it takes a bit of getting used to at the start, but for me I always found with the Womanizer (and I found it the same with this ROMP sex toy) that it makes me orgasm in literally 1 minute. I found that this clitoral suction stimulator was very easy to use, thanks to the two button On/Off buttons. It was also simple to use these to either increase, or decrease, the 10 intensity levels of stimulation.
Although different in both size and shape, we thought that the Romp X has a few similarities to its sister product - the Romp Shine - in its range of 10 intensities and noise. The sound of its motors isn’t too noisy and obtrusive - (we have noisier vibrators in our toy collection) - and this feature adds to the Free X’s discreet qualities. As for the sensations I enjoyed on my clit from the air tech suction - they were just as intense as my other clit stims provide me with. I was pleasantly surprised that a clit stim toy of such a deceptively small size could provide my enjoyment of many very satisfying orgasms.
The Romp X does not posses the oval-shaped stimulation head that many other air tech stim toys usually have. Small but powerful
We’d been in the lookout for something small for a while that fits in a handbag and the good folks at lovehoney sent us this to try and it certainly did the trick.
For something so small it does pack a punch. Presented so well in the box you are greeted with a good few inches of purple. Take off the lid and you have a spot you can either use for your clit, nipples or we found works well on the tip of the penis.
You can cycle through the settings with ease with the + & - buttons the side. They are silicone too so no slipping and missing.

Great toy in a mini package
This is a great little toy - in this case mini seems to be mighty. For context, my partner struggles to reach the big 'O' even with toys or solo and while this didn't quite get her there either, it is one of the best toys she has used and will be using more often! It's size and shape is good and the suction element is really powerful but extremely quiet which is great if you are intending to use in places where you need to be a little more discrete! It's also easy to use and the different settings offer a wide choice of sensations to suit her mood.

Small and neat but very effective.
We received this toy to test and review.
It arrived in a small cardboard box about 5" x 4" x 3" with purple and blue graphics. It contained the toy itself, the charging lead, the instructions and the usual compliance information. The contents were well protected in vacuum formed inner liners. The Free X is very compact. About the size of a large pebble type vibrator. Rather than having a protruding orifice like some similar toys it just has an oval hole in the larger end (the stimulation head apparently) but my wife found this to be both comfortable and effective in getting a good seal around her clitoris. There are two buttons (+ and -) on the body and a self sealing charging socket at the narrow end.
As usual before testing any toy we make sure that it is fully charged. The 2.5mm jack plug is pushed into the socket through the self healing silicone skin and the other end is connected to a standard USB charger. The light flashes when it is charging and remains steady when fully charged.
My wife has only recently come to terms with clitoral suction toys. In the past she has found them to be too harsh or difficult to seal correctly but this one was absolutely perfect.
